How many of you have a driveway and are sick and tired of motorists turning around on your private property? Worse yet…those same motorists use your driveway as a personal parking lot while they visit neighbors down the street? Well guess what? You now have an affordable option to deter uninvited motorists from using and entering your driveway!
Let me introduce you to a genius product called Drivewayspikes that are proudly made in the U.S.A. These “rubber” driveway spikes discourage cars from making u-turns in your driveway that may lead to a dangerous situation like one of your pets being accidentally being hit or worse yet, a child being struck by an unauthorized motorist on your property. They are a great way to keep your family and children safe!
The Drivewayspikes have the appearance of a tire puncturing device which are a great alternative to installing driveway chains, posts, milk crates, lawn chairs, Papa and cones. Plus, we all know that simply posting a “no trespassing” sign doesn’t deter people at all. In addition, it’s illegal to install “metal” deterring spikes!
What’s really cool about the Drivewayspikes is that there is nothing for you to move when you leave or return home. If you run over them, there is no damage to your car’s tires or the tires to your welcomed guests who visit your home.
When people use your driveway to turn around they are often not paying attention to other things going on around them. The majority of drivers just want to find the nearest and quickest place to turn around…they don’t care if that place is on private property! An innocent u-turn could turn into a disaster that can totally be prevented.
The designers who created this product were frustrated and concerned for the safety of their family, friends and pets, so they created this unique product to deter motorists from coming onto their private property. The idea of a flexible, safe, and easy-to-use driveway barrier was born.
The Drivewayspikes are 1″ thick and are 6″ wide. They weight over 6 lbs. so they won’t blow away. There are no moving or metal parts. There is no need for electricity or batteries. One 22″ Drivewayspikes will handle up to a 14 foot wide driveway with ease. Each one has highly reflective yellow panel, so that they’re visible during the nighttime hours.
Just the surprise appearance of these “rubber” Drivewayspikes in your driveway discourages un-wanted vehicles from using your driveway for u-turns or as a public parking lot to visit the neighbors. They will NOT cause damage to their vehicles or to your’s. They are solely a deterrent.

I think it is a wonderful idea sine there are so many people, who don’t respect the property of others. And it does not actually cause damage.
This is the most brilliant thing ever! We live right in the middle of our block and have a very wide driveway (the only one on the block – I have no idea why). People – even the UPS truck – love to use it to turn around in. I am always worried that my pets are going to be run over. My husband would also love the wicked humor of this.
Good reminder to be mindful of other peoples property both out of respect and safety. This is certainly a worthwhile product for people that live in certain areas where this could be a problem. We are in an area with many cul de sacs so people tend to turn around there and not in driveways.
Hmm, I can see how some people might need this, for sure. We live near the end of a dead end street, so people turn around in our drive a lot. Fortunately, it doesn’t bother me (other than making me wonder who that is in our drive, lol.) But if you have ungrateful, irritating neighbors, I say go for it with these!
Good invention for those who need it. I live in a townhouse and never have that kind of problem.
I had no idea that there was a product out there like this one until I saw it on your blog. This is a super idea and I sure know several people that I must tell about these. I like that they do not hurt the tires but make people think twice. I remember years ago you wrote on your blog about people turning around in your driveway I sure hope you have some of these bad boys now.
Motorists are so disrespectful these days! Any time I miss a turn…I keep driving and I find a PUBLIC place to pull in and turn around. I never do it in someone’s driveway or on personal property. It’s just dangerous! You never know if a little one would come darting out into the yard, if the home owner has a dog or cat running around, etc. Not only that…it’s just plain rude to do it on private property and a home owner’s driveway is indeed private property!
