Ohuhu Flameless Color Changing Candles

November 17, 2015 by Shelly

I’m going to let you in on a little secret today. I’m a flameless candle addict. Seriously, I am! Over the past 4-5 years I’ve probably have purchased at least $1,000 worth of flameless candles and have them all over my home!

You see…I have epilepsy and it’s unsafe for me to burn traditional candles. I never know when a seizure may hit me, so I just don’t burn traditional candles unless someone else is at home. On top of that, I’ve got small grandchildren who visit my home often.

A few months ago I reviewed a few products from Ohuhu and featured them here on the blog. With that said, today’s feature is my absolutely favorite so far!

The Ohuhu Flameless Color Changing Candles come three candles per set. These are battery operated candles and they come with a remote control that allows you to change the colors of the candles with the touch of a button. On top of that, you can turn them on/off, set them on a timer, set them on a steady glow, set them to flicker or to color-change-morph. Wow…that one little remote does it all.

All three of the candles are made out of real wax and look totally like your traditional pillar style candles. The set includes a 3″, 4″ and 5″ tall pillar candle. Each of these candles takes three AAA batteries which you need to supply. The remote control comes with an included battery.

There are 2 different lighting modes (flicker and steady), 12 different colors to choose from or set it to automatically morph through the colors for you. Plus, if you point the remote at one candle…you can change it’s color and set the other two candles for different colors. See my photo below for what I set up which would be super cool during the holidays.

How about the design above for the patriotic holidays? Way too cute! The light output from these candles is just perfect in my honest opinion. They’re not too dull nor too bright. They have the perfect glow to them and really look like a lit candle!

These are the best (hand’s down) flameless candles I’ve ever owned! I’m absolutely in-love with them! Heck, even my husband loves these candles and I’ve caught him several times changing up the colors to suit our moods! They are fabulous!

The holidays are just around the corner and I think they would make the perfect decorating piece. On top of that, I think they would make the perfect holiday gift too! Want to talk about affordable gift-giving? Wow!

I love that you can change the color,of,these candles. I do worry sometimes about burning regular candles and the quality of these frameless candles is really good.

What a beautiful scene these set. I love candles at the dinner table and around the house but always worry about having them out when the grandkids are here. This is a perfect solution and they look as pretty or prettier than regular candles. Great gift idea.

My friend has 2 cats and she loves candles but won’t burn them because of the cats. This is a great idea for her present.

Kath, they are fantastic! I own several different brands and I can honestly tell you these are my favorite! I love that I can set them to 12 different colors, have each of the candles the same color or different. I can set it on timers or set it to morph colors and all sorts of different things!

I have never seen these before and now I must have some. These would be perfect for us as we have indoor cats and I always worry when I have a candle lit. I would also love to get some for my mother and for my best friend for Christmas. Thanks for sharing this one I am going to add it to my list of must haves.

Shelly, we are all coming out of the shadows these days, flameless candles are the bomb! They are basically pretty and worry-free. I like both actually, but there are some locations (like near Christmas wreaths and swags) where flameless is always the way to go!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Flameless Candles! I seriously have them all over my house! These days you can even find some that are lightly scented if you miss the fragrance which I don’t. I use a Scentsy warmer pot (daughter sells Scentsy) and I’ve got 3 of those around the house (no open flame) so I get plenty of pleasant fragrance! This flameless candle set that I reviewed is the best! I’m ordering 2 sets later this week for gifts!

How fun and what a great way to change up the mood and decor of a room. I’m really glad you’ve found a way to use candles even with seizures. My mom likes flameless candles due to her husband not walking very well and sometimes getting off balance. These would really give her an elegant look that she could play up with the grandkids come for a visit.
