I love this time of year and I especially love a good Halloween party—time to eat, drink and be scary! If you are throwing a Halloween soiree, there’s nothing scarier than not being prepared. I was recently sent Freixenet’s most popular cava, its Cordon Negro Brut, which is the number one imported sparkling wine in the world. This crisp, creamy and deliciously delicate bubbly has a clean and well-balanced taste with notes of apple, ripe pear and bright citrus flavors. The Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut is the perfect addition to any party, especially a Halloween party with its signature black bottle.
Here are a few ways to add some festive flair to your Halloween party with Freixenet’s Cordon Negro Brut:
1. The Party Prop that Pops – Grab gold and silver paint pens (or even glow in the dark pens) and“costume-ize” and transform your gorgeous black bottles into ghoulish, ghostly décor. The possibilities are endless and what fun you and your friends can have channeling your inner artists!
2. Name Your Poison – Grab Freixenet’s personal-sized mini bottles (187 ml.), add some bright orange straws and give your friends some paint pens to personalize their minis and everyone will know“witch” bottle is theirs. Classy, sassy and simple!
3. Create a Creepy Cocktail Concoction – create a haunting hit with a signature cocktail for your party guests. Here’s one that I love to make:
* The Spellbound Sparkler – add splash of blood orange juice to your flute of Cordon Negro Brut and drop in a spoonful of pomegranate seeds for effect (and taste). This tasty drink is perfect for your thirsty Halloween guests.
4. Paranormal Pairings: Give your guests a proper treat to go with all the tricks by pairing the right foods with your delicious bottles of Cordon Negro Brut. This sparkler pairs beautifully with rich foods like roast pumpkin ravioli with mascarpone, butternut squash soup, caramel corn, or even appetizers like fried mozzarella, fried zucchini or empanadas –which are unbelievably yummy alone–but when paired with the right bubbly, is like heaven on Hallows Eve!
This sparkling wine is definitely a top value and won’t break the bubbly bank with its very affordable price of $12. Whether you are entertaining at Halloween, prepping for a Thanksgiving feast or just want to chill out with a few girlfriends, Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut is the perfect addition to make it even more memorable.

I’ve never tried this, but that is a really neat bottle, lol! I’d try it just for that.
My husband, daughter, and I are into scary movies and celebrating with Halloween treats. This is a great addition. Great idea with decorating the bottle, and would love to see pics of the Spellbound drink. Sounds spooky and fun.
I like the idea of mini bottles and doing something to personalize each bottle. It seems like that idea would work not just for Halloween but for any number of different occasions. The price is certainly right.
You know what sounds like it would be terrible but is really good? Mis this stuff with cherry juice, it’s great.
I’m not much for Halloween, or for drinking, either, but the one time of year I do have a drink is on New Year’s Eve. My brother buys us a small bottle of Champagne or other sparkling wine, and a teeny tin of caviar. Last year we did have the Freixenet sparkling wine, and it was very good. Then, on also on New Year’s Eve, we also put on some soundtracks to our favorite movies and sing along. (Reading this over, it sounds absolutely pathetic, OMG!)
These look great for a Halloween party. I really love the look of the bottles and hadn’t seen those before I read your post. I also like that these are affordable thanks for sharing this one and have a great day.
I love your ideas for decorating the bottles and the Spellbound Sparkler sounds hauntingly delicious. I have never tried this Cordon Negro Brut and shall look for it when next I go to the liquor store .
