Frugal Finds: Oversized Patio and Deck Umbrella

End of summer is a fabulous time to find some frugal finds, especially when it comes to outdoor and gardening goods. I have a rather small backyard and most of it is taken up by the pool so needless to say it can be difficult to shade it the way I want to for comfortable and enjyaing relaxing.

I have been eyeing one of the big offset patio umbrella’s for the past few years and since they retail for about $500, I never was able to find one that I could grab on clearance, until this year. I was able to snag one of these babies last week at the big clearance at Sears. Out the door – $140 or so!

Oversized Patio and Deck Umbrella

This umbrella offers almost 12 feet of protection and I love that it is adjustable and movable. The place I have it is actually a temporary place as I have a big tree that is going to come out in a few weeks and then the umbrella is going to become my shade for the BBQ and living room window. YAY!

I am super excited about my umbrella and especially since I got it at a huge savings!

I got a huge box (48 full size) of Halloween candy for just $4 the other day! Bonus: it’s a kind I don’t like, so I won’t eat it before Halloween.

This is a great frugal find for you and I am glad that you were able to purchase it. Please show the photo of its final placement after the tree is removed

  5. Good frugal find for you. End of season is a good time to buy things you need.

  6. How marvelous is that. For some reason my husband who is usually a thrifty guy just can’t wrap his mind around buying something off season like this. “We don’t need it” he says, as though the baking SoCal summer sun will never return.
