Enjoying the Fall Foliage

Enjoying Fall Foliage

It is hard to image that it is really fall here in California. Temps are headed back to the upper 90’s and who knows how long they will last. But with it being October, the leaves are starting to change and it is cooling down a bit in the evenings and over night.

Where I live, we don’t get a lot of the changing of the leaves to enjoy like other places. When I lived in the mid west, it was abundant and so gorgeous. I just love watching the colors change and miss that part of the season change. Here I have to travel to the mountains or up north further to find some changing leaves. Sounds like a road trip is needed here!

I know that there are trips that you can take to certain places to see the fall foliage. I think in many areas it is probably almost over with now as the winter will be creeping in soon in the east and mid west. But it sounds like a trip I need to plan for the future!

Do you take short trips to see the fall foliage? What is your favorite thing about autumn?

Fall is thing I miss most about not living in Chicago anymore. We just don’t get the burst of color here.

Here in the Midwest the trees are turning and the leaves aready dropping. The reds, and golds are quickly fading. Its been nice out during the daay and cool at night. Its bonfire weather. You can tell winter is coming but the dog days of summer keeps us smiling fo now.

What I like about Autumn is the change in weather and the colors. This is a very nice photo, thank you for sharing this post.

It’s pretty nice here in KY. Temperatures are in the low 70s during the day. it can get cool at night, but you can just put another blanket on, lol. No turning the heat on yet!

I love the fall because of the changing colors of,the leaves here in the NY region. The trees are so beautiful and the colors so vibrant with so many different shades of yellow, orange , gold and red.

Despite the hot weather yesterday, I cooked beans in the afternoon. It was about 87 in my apt but I love hot weather. Long Beach is having power outages because of the heat so no Fall weather here yet. I used to love the changing leaves in Ohio and Colorado, and enjoy them via pictures now!

My favorite part of Fall is the cooler days and turning leaves. My least favorite is the shorter days.
Colorado is still having summer weather and the trees aren’t happy about it.

What a lovely picture just perfection. I know what you are saying about the seasons. I lived in Los Angeles for a short time and I HATED IT! I remember when it was Christmas everything was fake and it was warm outside. I have learned that I must live where I can experience the seasons it just does something for my soul. I LOVE Spring time the very best, all of the beautiful flowers, new leaves and lush green fields and the baby animals. My second favorite is Fall and where we live it is spectacular!

We love car rides looking at all the different colors of the leaves. I try to collect different ones and send to my grandkids in Florida. They miss out on that living there…of course, they have the beach which helps. 🙂 But it is beautiful to see all the colors and feel the crisp, fall air.
