Guilt-Free Low Calorie Dog Treats

My dogs, Ginger and Blue, both German Shepherds, are scavengers. Anytime there is food around, they are circling around. They are always begging for more of their meals, for table scraps, and for treats. They are very well fed, so I have checked with the vet, just in case, but no, their eyes seem to be larger than their stomachs. Of course, since they are my ‘furbabies’, I can sometimes, if not all the time, give in to them. I know that human food is only for humans, so they do not win with their puppy dog eyes on that case. Dog treats, on the other hand… They may get an excess. So I was thrilled to find that Zuke’s was sending me their Skinny Bakes dog treats.

Zuke's Skinny Bakes Dog Treats

We were sent Yogurt & Honey, Coconut & Acai, Cherries & Berries, and Peanut Butter & Apple. They smelled good enough for me to eat, but no, I didn’t try. Some were labeled differently, they are in different size biscuits for the sake of smaller or larger breeds. (Toy, Small, Medium, Large)

Ginger can be very picky when it comes to treats. She tends to like only meaty treats, so it was surprising in seeing her devour the Peanut Butter & Apple. Blue liked all of the different flavors, but he even cleaned up his crumbs after eating the Yogurt & Honey.

With Zuke’s Skinny Bakes, I do not feel too guilty when Ginger or Blue ask for some treats. They are low calorie, so my pups can stay fit and healthy to prevent arthritis and breathing issues. Best of all, their products are grain, corn, and soy free, no fillers, with natural ingredients inside.

Guilt Free Low Calorie Dog Treats Do Exist

Zuke’s all started during a hike in the Colorado Mountains. Patrick Meiering, (CEO, Founder and Head Bone Maker) noticed his pal Zuke had become exhausted. Zuke was given a piece of an energy bar and perked right up. Patrick then realized that pets need healthy, natural treats just as much as people do!

It’s so wonderful to know that Zuke’s even donates a portion of every sale to The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund. This fund provides treatment grants to families who cannot afford life-saving treatments for their dog or cat with cancer, as well as research and awareness. Since Chief Canine Officer Zuke’s passing in 2001 from cancer, Zuke’s supports the DCCF to honor his memory. Now that’s ‘Fueling the Love”!
