Once again my inner child has been given more gifts! I was sent the newest released coloring books from Stress Less Patterns for review.

I was so excited! I just loved how relaxing the previous coloring books were that I reviewed in July. You can check them out adult coloring books. Now I have 200+ new pages of new patterns to enjoy. I was sent Stress Less Coloring – Flower Patterns and Stress Less Coloring – Mandalas, both available now.

A mandala is a geometric figure representing the universe in Hindu and Buddhist symbolism. In psychoanalysis, it is a symbol in a dream, which represents the dreamer’s search for completeness and self-unity. I find that to be very deep! It is also seemingly very fitting to be in a Stress Less Coloring book!

All of the mandala patterns were so intricate. They were eerily similar, yet entirely different from the next. I definitely had to use coloring pencils to give a more crisp, delicate color to the beautiful patterns. Jim Gogarty is the author of Stress Less Coloring: Mandalas. He has had a passion for drawing as long as he can remember, using crayons to today’s digital pen. After a spiritual awakening during meditation, he began drawing mandalas in 2005. His love for the symmetrical patterns is now a career, while running iHeartMandalas.

I loved the flower patterns as well. Some pages had thicker lines which allowed me to play around with crayons. That really brought me back to my childhood once I smelled the waxiness! Plus, even after of 20+ years of drawing/coloring, I still can’t seem to stay within the lines! I wish I was more familiar with flowers to know what colors the flowers should be, like nature intended. But I thought about it, and I believe that is one of the beauties of these books–there is no stress to worry about which colors–it is to be about how you see fit!

I absolutely love these! I will most certainly continue to use these until they are all filled with color! Just like the other books I was previously sent, these have allowed me to maintain my focus off of worry. Also, my body relaxes, and the tension releases. I recommend these for those who need the same, or whose inner child needs some spoiling!

    I liked your pin seriously the BEST Baked “fried” chicken! Crispy chicken marinated in spiced buttermilk then breaded with flour, panko, cornmeal and spices then baked in a little butter -tastes better than KFC without the grease and guilt!

    I have been coloring for years! It started when I was in grad school. I was buying some coloring books for my nieces and I bought one for myself too. By the end of that semester of school, I had a collection of coloring books in my office and my fellow grad students and I would sit and color between grading papers and doing research. I love this new trend in adult coloring.
