September 23, 2015 by Shelly

Safe Caesar Salad DressingWith Davidson’s Safest Choice™ pasteurized eggs, your favorite Caesar Salad just got safe. Pasteurized means that you can use these raw eggs in recipes with absolutely zero risk of Salmonella for you or your family!

* This is a guest post recipe that makes 4 servings.

Safe Caesar Salad Dressing Recipe

1 Safest Choice™ pasteurized egg
1 to 2 tsp finely chopped garlic (1 to 2 medium cloves)
1 anchovy fillet, mashed (or 2 inches of anchovy paste)
Pinch coarse salt
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice (juice of ½ lemon)
3 drops Worcestershire sauce
6 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients except olive oil until blended. With the motor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until dressing is well combined and creamy. Toss dressing with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, romaine lettuce, croutons, and coarsely ground black pepper and serve immediately.

I love caesar salads but the dressing has to be just right! This looks delish!

Unfortunately I checked and this brand is not sold near me. I love the recipe. I haven’t used raw eggs in years because I am afraid of contamination of some sort.

I’ve never used this brand of egg. I like the recipe and usually use oil and vinegar for simplicity’s sake.

Thanks for another great recipe, we love Caesar salad but don’t like store-bought dressings

Ah, this sounds good! I know anchovies seem to have fallen out of favor in the past years (can’t get them on a pizza anymore!), but I still love them. Caesar salads are great, all year long, too . I wish these Davidsons Safest Choice Eggs were sold near me, but they’re not, I checked the store locator. Maybe I can speak to the manager of my supermarket?

I’ve got to be honest, I’m not a caesar salad person, but I do like caesar salad dressing. Thank you for sharing this recipe, I can’t wait to give it a try.

I’ve only had this dressing when dining out. Now I’ll get those eggs and make some myself (love garlic & anchovies).
