As adult coloring books continue to soar in popularity and top bestsellers lists, July’s New York Times T Magazine “Take Two” just recently featured one above the pack: OUTSIDE THE LINES, TOO: An Inspired and Inventive Coloring Book by Creative Masterminds (Perigee Trade; September 1, 2015).
OUTSIDE THE LINES, TOO follows 2013’s OUTSIDE THE LINES, the New York Times bestselling original collection of coloring book designs from some of modern art’s greatest talent, and both are curated by creative mastermind Souris Hong.
OUTSIDE THE LINES, TOO is a wild, crazy, fresh collection of line drawings from over 100 of the most cutting-edge and imaginative street artists, musicians, filmmakers, and visual artists in the world.
Lately my hubby has been having some health problems and we all know that stress can make those problems worse. He needed to keep his mind busy, relax and just chill out for a few weeks while he healed. After hearing all of the “rage” about adult coloring books he wanted to try one out for himself.
He received the OUTSIDE THE LINES, TOO ~ curated by Souris Hong. There are over 100+ fine line drawings from artists, graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, etc. within the pages of this adult coloring book.
This adult coloring book is beautiful! I’ve never seen one like this before. Inside you will find simple line drawings and then other more complex designs for you to color. Any or all of them can be turned into works of art for your walls!
Hubby does a LOT of coloring with the grand daughter so he was pretty excited to get started with his own coloring book. Just the other day I caught him laying on the floor coloring in his new book while Gia was on the floor coloring in hers. Awwww! A great way for him to spend some quality time one-on-one with her and do it in a nice & relaxing way.
While he is no master artist…he does love to lay on the floor and relax with his new adult coloring book. I am confident he will improve upon his artist skills (or lack-thereof) over the coming weeks! LOL
In our opinion, this is a fabulous adult coloring book! Hubby has about 9 pages done now and he is really enjoying it. If you need to de-stress and relax more…an adult coloring book can definitely help with that!
You can purchase the Outside the Lines, Too: An Inspired and Inventive Coloring Book by Creative Masterminds directly from Amazon for a really great price!
