I’m sure we’ve all been there. Out and about with our smartphone and we catch a glimpse of the dreaded low battery icon. Panic. Find an outlet. Darn, I don’t have my cord! More panic. While I know it’s not the end of the world, I rely on my phone for many things—directions, snapping photos (I’m a photo nut) and making sure I’m reachable to those that matter the most. I hate the feeling of being disconnected and when I upgraded to an iPhone 6, I thought my battery woes would have been over. While the battery life is better, it’s still not ideal. I get it though. I’m running a lot of apps, using the phone quite a bit and the days of having a cell phone battery last four or five days are over. Our phones are more powerful than ever, so why not have a battery pack that helps keep that power pumping?
I was recently introduced to the mophie juice pack H2PRO, which not only provides more than 100 percent extra battery when you need it most, but it is also waterproof and offers an insane amount of protection (exceeding Military Standards to be exact).
This case was designed to withstand just about anything. The case has water-tight ports and an anti-glare screen protector to keep your phone secure and safe from damage. Waterproof is one of those things you don’t realize you need until it’s too late. I have tried many other kinds of chargers in the past and this one truly lives up to the expectation. I love that the charger is actually the phone case. Less hassle and it’s always with you, which is very convenient. I have been known to carry multiple external chargers and I will now happily remove them from my overloaded handbag!

I have to say that at first, I was a little skeptical and thought it wouldn’t be easy to set up or use. I couldn’t have been more wrong. First of all, the mophie juice pack H2PRO comes pre-charged, so you can use it immediately. It took me just a few minutes to place my phone in the ultra-sturdy case and click it shut. I think the most difficult part for me was the placing of the anti-glare screen protector. I feel like I could have done a better job applying it, as it feels a bit puffy on my phone. Most likely user error as I’ve never had great luck sticking those little babies on my phone. I want to protect my phone to the fullest, so I’m happy to have the extra level of protection.
Even with this suit of armor on my phone, all of the features are totally accessible and I can still use the Touch ID and still allows me use of the phone’s touch screen. There is also an integrated mute switch, volume and lock buttons so you still have total control over your phone.
While the version I reviewed was for the iPhone 6, mophie creates a full line of products that are compatible with older iPhones as well as other brands of smartphones and even tablets and iPads. This is a high-quality product that is well-made, well thought out and is perfect for the person on the go. This case is the last case you’ll need for your phone. Case closed.
