The older I get, the more foods I find I cannot eat any more. Wheat or White bread – no way. Certain diary products – nope. What I have found is that by choosing some items that are made gluten free, it has helped reduce the bloat and uncomfortable feeling I get when eating some products. There are so many companies adding gluten free products to their line up, it makes it easier to find them in a traditional store and make the switch.
Foster Farms is a company that is known for their poultry products and their corn dogs are one of the best around these parts. They have been adding a line of up gluten free frozen foods and the gluten free corn dogs is one of the items.
My family loves corn dogs. They make a great snack, a light lunch, and are perfect for game day munchies too. I whipped up some dipping sauces to use with this tasty treat and I am sharing the recipes with you below. Give them a try with your next corn dog or munchie attack!

Sweet Hot Mustard Dipping Sauce Recipe
This recipe is soooo close to the McDonald’s Hot Mustard which my hubby and I love. I found this McDonald’s Hot Mustard Sauce copy cat recipe on topsecretrecipes.com and gave it a try. Todd Wilber, the creator, nailed it on this one and so did I! All that is missing is the preservatives!
1/2 cup Water
1/2 cup Corn Syrup
1/3 cup + 1 tbsp White Vinegar
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
2 tbsp (+ 1 tsp optional) Ground Mustard powder
4 tsp Corn Starch
1 tbsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Tumeric
1/2 tsp Salt
15 shots Tobasco
Directions: Whisk all items together in a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil while continuing to stir. It thickens as it boils. Place in a small bowl and place in the refrigerator to cool before serving. ** I added the additional 1 tsp of Ground Mustard as we like the rich mustard flavor.
Also included is our favorite BBQ sauce. These three sauces made for a tasty treat and perfect for dipping these tasty gluten free corn dogs! I hope you try some too!

My husband is GF and he eats these all the time. Loves them!
Oh, I’ve tried their corn dogs & they are good, so the gluten-free are likely just as good! That dipping sauce looks great, too.
I haven’t had a corn dog since they used to serve them in middle school. I was a vegetarian in high school so it’s been quite a while. Sauces and processed condiments usually have too much sugar for me so I make my own and leave that out.
I haven’t had a corn dog in a long time. This post reminds me to go buy some and make the mustard sauce for them.
Yum! I am a fan of McDonald’s Hot Mustard sauce, I also love their Sweet and Sour Sauce. Thank you for sharing this recipe post. I will definitely be making this sauce.
These sound great! And the mustard sauce is like the icing on the cake! I am not gluten intolerant but I can tell a difference when I avoid it.
Thanks for this! I, too as I age, (I mean, ripen to my full beauty!), have troubke eating certain things that I had NO trouble with previously. And I love that Hot Mustard sauce, and got addicted to corn dogs when my husband introduced me to them. Woo-hoo!
