5 Tips to Help Your Hands Look Younger

Did you know that your hands are actually the first part of your body to show serious signs of aging? Your hands can start to show signs of aging as early as your mid to late 20’s! Sun spots, veins and dry skin top the list for issues related to our hands.

Our hands work hard and it is no secret that you can sometimes tell the age of someone simply by looking at their hands. We often don’t take care of them like we should!

5 Solutions for Anti-Aging Your Hands

Here are 5 Tips to Help Your Hands Look Younger

1) Start Today
If you are in your teens or in your 90’s, it is never too late to care for your skin. It is a simple addition to your beauty routine that can be added morning and evening.

2) Add Sun Protection
Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen that blocks UVA rays and helps to prevent typical signs of aging, like brown spots. We don’t realize how much sun our hands get while driving, gardening, walking, swimming, etc. Use gloves when possible. I like mineral based sunscreens the best.

3) Moisturize Daily
Look for thick, rich moisturizers for your hands that you can use several times a day. Even while sleeping, you can coat your hands and wear a pair of white gloves to bed for some deep moisture that will help your hands.

4) Use Products Repair The Skin
Look for products for your hands that will help to repair age spots and dry, cracked skin. You can diminish the signs of aging with some creams and lotions. There are even professional laser treatments that might help advanced cases.

5) Drink Water
Keeping your skin hydrated goes a long way and will help your hands too. Always drink plenty of pure water. The more the better for your skin.

Using tips like these is going to help your skin in the long run. We will never get it back to like it was when we were a baby, but we can have hands that we are not embarrassed about showing.

I’ve always thought that the hands and neck really show off your age. You watch shows and often the actors/actresses’ face will be smooth and young, but their hands will really look older. Wearing SPF is big. Just like your face your hands need to be cared for.

Definitely! You should treat your hands and upper chest/neck like you treat your face!
