My Thoughts: I’ve been collecting cookbooks for about 30 years now and have at least 250+ in my collection. One of my favorite publishers when it comes to cookbooks is Robert Rose. I love their big-book size, color photographs and easy-to-read format.

I got the 175 Essential Slow Cooker Classics Cookbook for this review and LOVE it! All of the recipes are laid out in an easy-to-read format with an ingredients list, directions on how to prepare and many of them include serving tips too!

One of the recipes my family recently enjoyed from this book is the Turkey Sloppy Joes on page 178. Instead of using ground beef…you use ground turkey along with other recommended ingredients to come up with a delicious sloppy joe! We served our sloppy joes on lightly toasted potato rolls and they were delicious! My family was surprised when I told them I used ground turkey in the recipe!

Another recipe we tried was the Rice Pudding on page 309. I had never made rice pudding in a slow cooker before and never realized how simple it was to prepare. Sometimes rice pudding can come out really dry but ours was super moist and definitely very flavorful. From now on…I will be preparing it in my slow cooker and using this recipe…it was a hit!
