It seems like we create more and more reasons to enjoy a glass of wine with our friends and family (or maybe I just do). Let’s see—there’s Wine Wednesday, Thirsty Thursday, and The Friday Wine Down to name a few. I have a new one in honor of my newly divorced friend, how about Newly Single Saturday? I think she’d definitely raise a glass to celebrate that occasion. While divorce is clearly not a laughing matter, she’s been going through the process now for more than two years and I’ve been along with her for the ride, sharing in her frustrations, sadness and anger. If anyone deserves a big glass of wine, it’s her.
I recently learned about the Unknotted Wine glass from TheUnknotted, which was designed as a special gift one might purchase for a girlfriend who is newly divorced. The German Crystal glass is a large, very gorgeous glass that even features graduated line markings to provide a guide for the appropriate amount to pour. Fortunately for those who were in long marriages the glass holds 23.5 ounces of wine, which is just under a full bottle! Beginning with a small pour for an annulment to the “drink the whole damn bottle” mark for 10+ years, she can happily enjoy her favorite wine in the appropriate serving size.
The Unknotted, LLC is a California corporation launched in 2015 by two sisters who wanted to celebrate when one announced that she was getting divorced. The sisters were unable to find gifts and party supplies specifically for divorcees, so the concept behind The Unknotted products was born. In addition to the wine glass, the web site offers a wide variety of other products, including feather boas, wine tags, cake toppers and photo props to name a few. They offer just about everything you need to pull together a little girlfriend support soiree.
The Unknotted wine glass would make a nice gift for someone that is going through a split. The beautiful glass is priced around $25. Pair it with a great bottle of wine and you have a perfect gift for under $50.

This just shows the marketing ingenuity of American women. I am sure that many divorcees will appreciate the items and support from their girlfriends
Love the concept! The end of a marriage that cries out for a divorce deserves a celebration!
