In case you haven’t noticed, it is back to school time! Even if your kids are grown and out of the house, now is a great time to take advantage of all of the awesome sales that are happening. There are so many ways to save money on clothing, supplies, and even some household goods too.
Here are some ideas you can use to save a bundle on the items you need.
1) Check the flyers, sales notices, your favorite online stores for items you need.
Computers, clothing, dorm needs, office supplies are big right now.
2) Compare prices to see who has the best deals
Make a list and organize your shopping.
3) Check out online Apps for the store you are interested in shopping at looking for better deals
Sometimes stores offer an additional discount.
4) Search for Coupons
Now is when coupons are great to use for additional deals of items you need. Don’t forget to check Social Media pages for deals and coupons!
5) Buy in Bulk
Some items are worth buying in bulk. Office and school supplies are perfect examples. But also tissues, hand sanitizers, wet wipes for cleaning, etc. Stock up where you can for bigger savings in the long run.
6) The Savings usually last though Labor Day
Don’t feel you have to buy everything at once. The savings usually run through Labor Day due to different school schedules across the nation. But don’t miss out on something you really want either. You know when it is a good price.
I love taking advantage of sales like these. Using a bit of strategy can help you save more! Do you usually shop for deals during events like this? What would you typically buy?

I agree that this is a great time to save on office supplies and wipes, even if you don’t have any school needs right now. I always compare prices and look for,the best deals.
My kids are grown, but we buy for others plus it’s a great time to stock up on household needs. Paper, pens, post-its, tape….all our used a lot so why not buy now. Even ziploc bags and Kleenex can have good sales now. You really do have to hunt for the best deals. Ads are a great start but there’s also coupons in the paper online, FB, mobile coupons…Target has online coupons, mobile coupons, and a cartwheel to look at. It takes time but can really save you.
No kids, but I pay attention to the BTS sales.
These are great tips. I don’t usually shop for deals during events like this one, but if I do find a great deal I definitely take advantage of it. Thank you for sharing this post.
Thanks for these great money saving tips. I still can not even believe it is already the middle of August! Is time in fast forward or is it just me?
The new thing for me is the apps (like the Target one) fantastic stuff and easy to utilize.
I do try to take advantage of the sales and the tax free days we have in our state. This year I bought some clothes and a printer.
Nice strategies to save some money and it doesn’t really take that much time. Great ideas.
