Soften Your Laundry with The Downy Ball

August 16, 2015 by Shelly

The Downy BallEveryone does their laundry in their own way with their favorite products. Not everyone likes to use dryer sheets because they might not always give clothing the softness people are looking for. Some people use both liquid and sheet softeners. Liquid fabric softener might do a better job at making clothes smell better and feel softer but for some, using fabric softener can be a chore.

In the past, you would have to wait for the rinse cycle before you could even think about adding the softener. The wait is over, Downy created The Downy Ball, it automatically releases softener during the spin cycle which means no delays, no dryer sheets and no mess.

I recently had the chance to try out The Downy Ball and really like it! I am the type of person who uses liquid fabric softener and love the results I get with it. However…it’s a pain to run back into the laundry room to dispense it during the rinse cycle or worse yet…you pour it into the little cup in your machine and it doesn’t dispense correctly or at all.

The Downy Ball

To use The Downy Ball you simply pour your liquid fabric softener into the ball. Seal the ball by pulling up on the stopper and then toss it into your washing machine. The Downy Ball does all of the work and will release the liquid fabric softener at the appropriate time. You basically fill it, toss it in and walk away! You can use it over and over and over again!!!

I really like the ease-of-use and the convenience of The Downy Ball. I now know that my liquid fabric softener is being dispensed at the appropriate time! How cool is that? Totally cool!

You can learn more about The Downy Ball and other Downy products by visiting their website online. I give it a BIG 2-thumbs up!

I’ve heard of the Downy ball but never tried it. I’m with you and like the feel of liquid softener. This sounds like it really takes most of the hassle out of using a softener. Toss it in and let it time it out. Thanks.

Adding liquid softener has been a pain so I’ve used sheets and want to try the wool balls. We are getting new machines where I live so maybe more efficient washers/dryers hopefully.

I have used one of these balls for years. I like using them when I am washing clotes or bedding when I m putting them away for the season. Everything smells so fresh and nice when they come out of winter storage (or summer storage)

I don’t like the extra chemicals in softeners or dryer sheets. I use wool balls in the dryer with a drop or two of lavender essential oil.

I love Downy! It smells so good and makes my clothes so soft! Have not used the ball but will give it a try if I see one in the store.

I always forget to add the softener, this would make it easy because you could prefill it and have it ready.
