Ever since reading Tangled by Emma Chase a few years ago, I have been in love with her writing. Fun, flirty, and freshly hip, she brings a delightful writing style to her books that I cannot get enough of. This new release is an entertaining read that I devoured!

My Thoughts: If you enjoy a book that is loaded with humorous situations, plus the tough, gruff guys that cannot believe they could ever commit and settle down, then you will love the writings of Emma Chase. This book is a part of The Legal Briefs series, but can be read as a stand alone too. Just know that you will meet other characters from previous books, but it is totally easy to follow.
What I love about this author is her fun style of writing. She creates believable characters that are just a bit messed up but are strong and kind. Jake, in this book, is a heartbreaker. A tough attorney that tells this story completely from his point of view. There are few authors that choose to write this way in the romance genre, but Emma Chase is fabulous at it. What you get is a funny and endearing look at the life of a confirmed bachelor who is in denial. It makes for a delightful read that will stay with you for a long time after you close the cover.
I know that when I sit down to read an Emma Chase book, I am in it for the long haul. I hate to stop and will read it through in one sitting. This new release was no different. It will bring a smile to your face, multiple times, and even a moist eye or two. Heartfelt situations abound to make this book one that you will not forget for a long time.
