We live in a world where chemicals are all around us. The foods we eat, clothing and shoes we wear, the water we drink and so on. Short of moving to the wilderness and growing our own foods, the only thing we can do is try to control some of that chemical influence by choosing what we eat and use on and in our bodies. Choosing a natural, organic product over a chemical filled one can be pretty simple these days. I was thrilled to try some salon products that are made with all natural, vegan ingredients.

Original Sprout Salon Natural Styling Balm

My hair is pretty heavy. Even with a short cut, the top has a tendency to lay down. I have never tried a natural balm before so I was curious as to how this would work. What I like is that this is in a jar. So much easier to get the amount you need and for this, a pea sized dollop is all you need.

Simply rub it through your fingers and style your hair as you normally would. I tend to do a slightly messy style so this was a cool product to play with. I was surprised at the holding power of this stuff! Your hair is still moveable, not crunchy or sticky, yet the hold is great.

It did pretty well holding up my hair. I did finish it with a touch of spray when I would go out to work as I did not want it falling, but for casual days at home, just the balm was great. It is so easy to work with and it will last you a long time. I love this product!

This firm holding balm is a cool product to use with hair accessories like Headbands or Barrettes, and styling too. It is get to help keep Braids, Spikey styles, Up-do’s, and other hair styles in place with a smooth finish. It can replace, or in my case, reduce the amount of hairspray for a lasting hold.

I was really curious about this product. I highlight my hair and I am pretty picky about what I put in it but this product has color retention properties so that made me feel better. Plus it offers sun protection! Now that was important to me!

This shampoo is so different from any that I have used before. First off, I love a pump bottle. It makes life so much easier. Then I noticed the fresh scent. Light and clean, it is not heavily perfumed.

The unique thing with the Natural Shampoo is that there is practically no lather. It almost felt like I was using a conditioner. But I could feel it working. I could feel my hair getting that squeaky clean feeling and sound to it, so I knew it was working. That is a huge plus for babies and children. No bubbles to end up in their eye.

Another thing that was great about this shampoo is that my hair was full of body and felt great after I dried it! I thought that it would be limp like what happens when I use a conditioner (my hair does not like much conditioner!), but the results from using this shampoo was beyond my expectations. Plus, it rinsed out in a snap and the comb through was easy.

I was thoroughly pleased with both of these natural, vegan hair products. Original Sprout has many more other products for the whole family.

    I would love to try the Miracle detangler from Original Sprout. I have very long hair and the leave in products I have tried so far leave my hair limp.
