Gardening: Yellow Roses

August 11, 2015 by Classystaff

I love blooming plants and one of the first plants I added to my yard was a mini rose plant a friend gave me for our housewarming so many years ago. It still blooms and grows but the one that has really taken off and explodes with color is this fabulous yellow rose.

This is a mini rose plant that has taken over its space and is now about 3 feet tall during the summer. I love when it is in full bloom. The rose petals range from solid yellow to pale yellow and it looks so beautiful popping up in the yard.

Yellow Roses

I have a few of these mini roses and they always do so well in my garden. I wish they were scented however. Are you a rose fan? Do you prefer the traditional roses or is any rose good for you? I have several different kinds of roses and love them all.

How lovely! Here on the Maine coast, wild roses are very common, and I just love them. They’re usually a pretty pink, and the hips that appear later in the season are huge. I’ve had miniature roses as houseplants, but I’ve never had a lot of success with them. You’re lucky to be able to have yours outside, where they’re obviously quite happy.

Beautiful roses. I don’t grow roses (just herbs) but I really like the old fashioned ones with lovely aromas.

I love yellow flowers and think I first loved the yellow daffodil as a kid. I grew mini roses, yellow included, when I lived at my house in Colorado.
