Since I was 14 years old I’ve been in-love with cooking and baking, although baking is my real passion. Every day I look forward to getting into my kitchen and whipping up something delicious for my family to enjoy. It can be something really simple to prepare or something that took me all day long to make!
Recently I’ve partnered up with the great folks over at World Kitchen and from time to time will be featuring some fabulous products with all of the Two Classy Chics blog readers.
Today we are going to talk about baking and some great must-have kitchen tools from Baker’s Secret. For the review I received the following three items:
* Baker’s Secret Silicone Spatula with Wooden Handle
* Baker’s Secret Silicone Spatula with Plastic Handle
* Baker’s Secret Silicone Whisk
These kitchen tools are made for baking but for the purpose of this review I used them while canning. Yes, while doing home canning! Every time I cook down tomatoes and make a batch of homemade Italian spaghetti sauce to can…I always use silicone spatulas and a good whisk. Hence, the perfect opportunity to try out all three of these items.
The first thing I noticed about them is their quality…they are all extremely well-made! They are not flimsy dollar-store style kitchen gadget, nope…quality made for sure! They are designed to function well and to last you a good long time! Matter of fact, all three come with a limited lifetime warranty!
When you are holding them in your hands they are well-balanced and properly weighted. Really comfortable to hold too! I really love using silicone kitchen tools because batter and sticky things roll right off of the silicone. Plus, they always clean up really nicely when you are done.
All three of the items that I received for this review worked extremely well for me on tomato sauce canning day! I couldn’t be happier with their performance! I am looking forward to giving them a real workout over the next couple of months!
You can find the Baker’s Secret Kitchen Tools featured in this blog post at World Kitchen along with many other fabulous kitchen items. Head on over there today and take a look around while you are here!

Cooking and baking classes in 4-H gave me a great appreciation for food prep before I was even a teen. When I went into nutrition at college, I enjoyed finding ways to make my cooking and baking healthier. It really helps to have dependable utensils and I love the newer silicone items too.
I like the idea of things slipping right off the silicone tools. it would make preparing foods for cooking or baking much easier.
When would you use the spatula with the wooden handle over the one with the plastic handle?
I think it’s just personal taste. I like using the wooden handled one when dealing with cream, sauces and soups. I liked using the plastic one when dealing with cake batter.
