Vegan Bath and Body Products From Sonoma

July 29, 2015 by Kristine

A few years ago, my husband and I spent a long weekend in Sonoma, California for a nice little getaway. With all of the wonderful wineries, restaurants and unique shops, it’s truly one of my favorite places to visit. While I was shopping on one of our many stops, I discovered a lotion that I absolutely adored. It was from the Sonoma Soap Company and the scent was called First Crush. When I was asked to review some products from the Sonoma Soap Company, I gladly said yes, but didn’t realize that this was the same lotion that I bought in Sonoma. When the box arrived and I opened it, I was totally jazzed to see it was the same brand that I discovered on that beautiful weekend trip!

Sonoma Soap Company

Sonoma Soap Company was created with the romance, imagery and lifestyle of Sonoma Wine Country. Its products are naturally made, feel and smell so luxurious and come in generous sizes, which make them a truly affordable beauty buy. Sonoma Soap Company offers a full line of products including shampoos and conditioners, bath and shower gels, liquid hand soaps, bar soaps and body/hand lotions. Some of the key features of these products are:

• Biodegradable
• Made with recyclable packaging
• Paraben and SLS Free
• Artificial Color Free
• Synthetic Fragrance Free
• 100% Vegan–Vegetarian
• Cruelty Free-No Animal Testing
• Made with Natural Essential Oil Blends

Over the last week or so, I’ve been trying out all of the products that I received, which were some samples of the Shampoos and Conditioners, Body and Hand Lotions and the Bath and Shower Gel. All of the products come in three wonderful scents:

• Lavender Reserve – lavender is known worldwide for its calming, soothing benefits and its clean, sweet floral fragrance. This scent smells of Lavender Flower, Olive Leaf And Grape Seed Extracts.

• Citrus Medley – this scent will remind you of a fresh Sonoma citrus grove with its aromas of Pink Grapefruit, Sweet Orange, and Grape Seed Extracts

• First Crush – My favorite of the bunch. This scent has a natural aroma of freshly crushed Grape Seed and Red Raspberry Extracts.

Here are my overall thoughts on the products that I reviewed.

The Sonoma Soap Company Shampoos and Conditioners are all gentle enough for daily use and color-treated hair and are made with natural Essential Oil Blends. I really like the way the shampoo and conditioner made my hair smell and they lather up really nicely. I especially love that these come in travel sizes, so I can throw them into my travel bag and not be stuck using what might be available at the hotel.

The Hand and Body lotions are a real treat for the skin and they contain no artificial colors or fragrances and are made with essential oil blends. I’ve been carrying these around in my purse and apply them throughout the day at the office, as my skin can get very dry. These lotions keep my skin hydrated, feeling smooth and smelling absolutely heavenly.

Finally, the Natural Bath and Shower Gels are made with the same quality ingredients and can be used daily to keep your skin moisturized and clean. The gels have really added some invigoration to my boring (and sleepy) morning shower. There’s nothing quite like waking up to the smell of Sonoma!

These sound like excellent products and I like the idea of the grape and red raspberry scents in First crush. The prices are reasonable so I may give them a try

These products sound great, it’s always nice to find products that are 100% Vegan–Vegetarian, biodegradable, and made with recyclable packaging. I would love to try the First Crush scent. Thank you for sharing this review.
