Design Your Custom Wall Art with Wall Decals

Making your house a home comes from the beautiful things that make us happy. For me that includes wall art like pictures. I have some beautiful pieces that I love but I wanted to add something special to the mix. A custom all decal was just what I needed and I was able to create one for review with the folks from Dezign with a Z.

Dezign with a Z is the place for custom and premade decals for all areas of your home or business. They offer so many gorgeous designs, it will be hard to decide what to choose. I wanted something specific for my home and the designers were quick to send me a proof with just what I wanted!

I was looking for our family name with our wedding year to hang over my front door. Because my walls are textured and I am going to be painting later this year, I wanted something that I could frame. So the custom wall decal is just what I was looking for.

Applying the decal was pretty easy. First you rub the decal with the tool they send along with the decal to make sure that it sticks to the paper.

I then measured, trimmed, and centered the board that the decal was being applied to. I used mat board. This will be going inside the frame. I removed the back piece and applied the decal to the board, making sure it is in the right position before applying pressure to make it stick all the way.

Then using the tool, I smoothed out all wrinkles and bubbles to make sure that it was adhered to the board. Next, I removed the protective covering on the decal. It is easiest to remove it from the edge grabbing at the center of the paper, not on a corner. At least for mine anyway.

Then I finished framing and hung my new wall art. I love the way it came out and it looks perfect for the space! My family loves it too.
