True and Constant Friends by Kelley Paul Book Review

June 6, 2015 by Classystaff

A good friend is priceless. They are there to love and support you through so many of life’s issues. When I learned there was a new release that was published that celebrated the friendships we have with not only our BFF’s but also our Mothers and Grandmothers, I knew I had to read it. This hardcover book is a beautiful tribute to those special people that make our lives so much better.

True and Constant Friends by Kelley Paul

Kelley Paul, wife of Senator Rand Paul, celebrates lifelong friendships in a beautifully illustrated book about the female bond.

Feeling blessed to be one of seven friends who met and grew close in college-and looking forward to their celebration of a milestone birthday together-Kelley Paul wanted to know more about the women who were their first sources of love and inspiration, as her own grandmother and mother have been to her.
So she asked each friend to tell her the story of a woman who influenced and guided her, who fostered her sense of joy, independence and courage. As you read each one, you’ll discover, as Kelley did, that they’re the stories of women everywhere, for they are personal yet universal, ordinary yet extraordinary.

This lovely book also features works of art by the women of HomeFront Family Preservation Center and wise words of female authors and poets.

My Thoughts: Having a close friend that understands you and is there for you is an awesome feeling. The same goes for those other special women in our lives – Mom’s and Grandmothers. This book is loaded with beautiful memories and stories by women for women. Rich stories and memories that make a family special. Many are touching and all of them are heartwarming.

Scattered throughout the book are personal pictures, quotes, and beautiful art pieces that make this new release a treasure to enjoy. It is a perfect book to reach for when you need a bit of inspiration or some of Mother’s love. There are stories about Hope, Courage, Faith, Loss, Courage, Friendship, Motherhood and more.

I could tell that this book was a work of love. Friends bonding over wonderful stories that have been printed to go down in history. It is a lovely read with many short stories to enjoy when you need a pick me up. Check it out. It make a wonderful gift for someone special in your life!

I, too, am a bit cynical about the motive for this book – but I think the message rings loud & clear anyway – if you have a REAL friend, keep her forever! Having had only a couple of TRUE friends in my life, I am eager to read the stories of other women’s journeys.

This looks like an interesting read, but I wonder if it would have been printed if her husband wasn’t so well-known.

It looks like a nice book with a nice message…though the cynic in me says, “Oh, he’s running for President, so she puts out a book.” Lol, politics makes me cynical.

This does look like a lovely gift item and something to pass down to loved ones or among friends.
