How many of you enjoy a good Tuna Noodle Casserole? While I admit, I am not a big fan of it…I will enjoy it from time to time if it is prepared properly.
A few weeks ago we followed the Minute Rice recipe and I have to admit, it was pretty good! Here is their recipe for all of you to enjoy!
Super Easy Tuna Casserole Recipe
*Courtesy of Minute Rice
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
2 cups milk
1 cup frozen peas
2 cups Minute White rice, uncooked
2 cans tuna fish, drained and flaked
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix soup, milk and peas in a medium saucepan. Bring to boil on medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Add Minute White rice and tuna; mix lightly. Spoon into 2-quart casserole dish; sprinkle with cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes or until heated through.
* Substitute: 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry, for the peas if desired.

A good tuna casserole recipe is great anytime. And it’s amazing how much better it tastes the next day if there’s any left, that is! I would just tweak this a little for my own taste, and change the Cream of Mushroom Soup to Cream of Onion, and then change the peas for little button mushrooms. OMG I am hungry now! Woo-hoo! Might add extra cheese, too. : )
I’ve never made a tuna casserole with rice – this looks good and I’d like to try it!!!
It’s been so long since I had tuna casserole! my Mom used to make it in the 70s & 80s, as a part of her weight watchers dieting! Weight Watchers had a pretty good recipe, lol. This one looks good!
I have never tried a tuna casserole with rice. I think I would use spinach and partially cooked brown rice in it. of course that make it less easy., but more, helalthy.
I grew up with many variations of tuna casserole and haven’t made it myself since I was in college. This looks okay but think I may have done my share of tuna noodle. I agree with a previous comment though that my husband would love it.
Looks good like to try this
Have you tried any of our recipes yet Rochelle?
I have not had a tuna casserole in years. I would much rather have a tuna noodle casserole than a tuna rice casserole. I would love to try this with noodles instead of rice. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
I do love to have tuna casserole once in a while. The only thing I would add to this is french fried onions on top. But then I will put those on top of just about everything!
Wow, this is a very easy recipe. It looks really good too. I make a tuna casserole with pasta, definitely going to try this with the rice 🙂
My spouse would love this. Me, not so much. I might just tuck the recipe away for a rainy day, though. Thanks for sharing it.
I have some canned salmon that would be perfect for this recipe. I use gluten free noodles now but have fond memories of my mom making tuna noodle casserole with much the same ingredients. She didn’t use cheese but did crush saltines on top, which I loved!
I’d use the spinach instead of the peas. I do like a good tuna casserole.
