Did I read that right? This is the **28th** annual Shark Week? Wow! I just may pay more attention this year; there have been several unconfirmed sightings of a Great White Shark off the Maine coast this month.
I enjoy watching the program and love most nature shows. It is nice that your husband and nephews have established this tradition.
My kids are both scuba divers, and they have encountered sharks. Most won’t attack, but I’m not chancing it. My son has a good amount of respect and awe for them. It’s amazing how fascinated people get by watching shark week. It draws such a crowd. I will say that Sharkopedia interests even me.
I love Shark Week too and always try to watch a little bit of it. The movie Jaws messed me up for life! I am not a boat person and I freak out when I have to fly over the ocean. I love it when they say the chances of a shark attack are sooooooooo slim and then like last week those TWO kids lost limbs off the coast of Oak Island! Yeah…. slim chance. I am all about the pool!
And holy mackerel, why do people go back into the water right after shark sightings?! What is wrong with people? Not so much an ocean person either even though I live near one.
Love Shark Week and I will be watching. Be careful out there!
We are all fascinated by sharks – at least I am, and have been for years. “Jaws” was released 40 years ago this week and it still scares me. Es[ecially in wake of the the kids betting attacked by sharks latekt.
