The New Primal Grass-Fed Beef and Free Range Turkey Jerky

June 10, 2015 by Shelly

The New Primal Grass-Fed Beef and Free Range Turkey JerkyMy husband and I do a lot of traveling and are always on-the-go. When we hit the road I like to pack a bunch of take-along snacks that don’t require refrigeration. One of our favorites happens to be jerky!

Let me introduce you to The new Primal’s products that are the absolute healthiest, cleanest, most responsibly sourced alternatives to other jerky products, most of which have been compromised by the addition of excessive amounts of sugars and sodium, as well as GMO’s, hormones, antibiotics, and preservatives.

If you are looking to incorporate jerky into your diet, here are a few ideas to help replace highly-processed snack foods with The New Primal, a [truly] natural alternative with real, recognizable ingredients, and free of the harmful additives mentioned above.

* Replace tortilla chips with Spicy Grass-Fed Beef Jerky for the ultimate guacamole-eating experience.
* Add The New Primal’s Original Grass-Fed Beef Jerky as a hearty element to your Bloody Mary
* The New Primal’s Free-Range Turkey Jerky is a healthier, tastier alternative to over-processed bacon bits.
* Create an incredibly delicious tomato sauce from The New Primal Grass-Fed Beef jerky products.
* Add The New Primal Free-Range Turkey Jerky to your next batch of granola bars for a sweet & savory snack.

The New Primal Jerky

For our review we were sent 3 packages of The New Primal Jerky to try out for all of you. We received:

* The New Primal Original Turkey Jerky
* The New Primal Original Grass-Fed Beef Jerky
* The New Primal Spicy Grass-Fed Beef Jerky

All 3 of these jerky’s are certified gluten-free and are very high in protein. I love how these are packaged in simple tear-open bags and each one is dated with an expiration date. The serving size is 1 oz. and calories are between 60-70 calories per serving. Perfect for those who are watching their weight.

Normally I am a beef jerky type of gal but this time I was all over that Original Turkey Jerky! It was perfectly flavored, had a nice texture and it was really hard to ONLY eat the suggested serving size of 1 oz. Yup, it’s that good!

My husband likes his jerky on the spicy side so he quickly snatched up the Spicy Grass-Fed Beef Jerky and took it to work. He likes to keep healthy snacks in his desk drawer at the office to enjoy in the late afternoon. Snacks like this help to hold him over until dinner time. He absolutely loved that jerky and said it had just the right amount of “heat” to it. Not overly spicy, just perfect.

Several days ago hubby and I shared the bag of Original Grass-Fed Beef Jerky while we were out on a road trip. We got caught in a massive thunderstorm and got stuck along the road for 3 hours until the roads opened up again. Thankfully we had 2 bottles of water and this bag of delicious jerky to hold us over!

All three of these jerky’s were delicious and we would NOT hesitate in buying them. They are great snacks to have at-home or while traveling. You can learn more about The New Primal Jerky by visiting their site online.

I like the idea of adding jerky to snacks or using it instead of granola bars. I have not eaten much jerky and this sounds like great jerky.

I know we would love these! We have been trying to eat healthier and also trying to steer away from meat that comes from animals who have not been treated well.

I really like that these have less sodium and the flavor variety. Gives me a choice of a spicier version where my husband can go with original. We like jerky. It’s great for on the go or for that protein boost.
