Think I’d rather put it in God’s hands rather than the dating services, onine or otherwise. I’m not a very trusting person, but I’ve learned from past mistakes. Sadly dating is not what it used to be, so I’d rather be safe than sorry. I think I watch too many of those 48 Hour/Dateline shows that feature disastrous relationships, lol.

I think this is great. I’m happily married but know a few people that have used online dating sites. Mostly for fun and to help them meet new people. A good way to get used to talking to others. I like that you can search for specifics and meet a variety.
I am over 50. I’ve been married twice – first for 22 years, (divorced), and then I met my second husband online (though not on a dating site). We were together for 2 1/2 years and he passed. I have to say that both marriages were disatrous. I hope some folks find love and companionship on dating sites – but as for me – give me the single life!
