My brother is an avid outdoors man. Seriously, every weekend you will find him outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, boating, rock climbing or just taking his boys outside to do some bird watching. Any activity you do outside, my brother loves it!

My brother’s birthday is coming up so for this review I selected the gorgeous Green Woodpecker Figurine to review for all of you. I will be giving it to my brother next month for his Birthday because he is a huge bird-watching fan.
This porcelain figure sits on a beautiful attached wooden base. The front of the base has a little brass ID plaque that says “The Gray Rock Collection” and underneath the figurine you will find a sticker that identifies it as being part of the Amy & Addy collection.
There are 4 little rubber feet underneath the base so that you can place the figurine any where and not have to worry about scratching any surfaces.
There attention to detail on the piece is absolutely beautiful! The woodpecker looks very realistic and is 3-dimensional. The colors used in the painting are all of your typical earth-tones in shades of green, brown, mustard, dark red, black and gray.
I already know where he will be placing this gorgeous piece in his home which will be in his family room. It is totally decked out in an outdoors theme with fish, bears, deer and birds. The figurine will fit right in and probably be displayed on his beautiful walnut wood bookcase. I know he is just going to love it!

I love these types of knickknacks! (Or, as my Grandma used to call them, pretties!) Left to my own devices, I would pack the house with them.

Pretty. I’m a birdwatcher, too, and woodpeckers are among my favorites. I’ve never seen a Green Woodpecker, though; I believe they’re native to England. I’m sure your brother will be very happy with his gift.
Good thought on outdoorsman or an outdoors themed room. My mom loves birds, and this would actually be a good gift for her.
