As children…we are all drawn to various plush toys. Let’s face it, they are soft, cute, cuddly and can be taken with us on-the-go or comfort us when we are sick. They provide us with hundreds of hours of creative play time and you can find them in various motifs for little boys and/or little girls.
Today I am going to introduce you to the newest and cutest plushies out in the retail marketplace called Zoonicorns. With Zoonicorns, children can enjoy hours of playtime accompanied by life lessons as they journey along with the Zoonicorns in the land of dreams.
The Zoonicorns are magical creatures that visit the dreams of young zoo animals to help them discover important life lessons through adventure. The Zoonicorn plush line is enhanced by the coordinating book series, where each Zoonicorn comes to life.
Each plush is soft, cuddly, and stands at 7″ tall. The Zoonicorns, make the perfect companion for playtime, bedtime, and on-the-go. Plus, because they come in a variety of colors and each one comes with a hang tag with their name printed right on it.
For the review…Princess Gia received 4 of the plush Zoonicorns and the hardcover book titled “Buffy Meets the Zoonicorns” to review for all of you.
The book is by author Mark Lubratt and the gorgeous illustrations are done by Sara Weingartner. ISBN-13: 978-1-59298-893-8. Cover Price: $16.95. This particular story features the Zoonicorns: Valeo, Aliel, Ene and Promithea.
Valeo: Wants you to feel strong and brave.
Aliel: Shows you how to be carefree & light.
Ene: Cheers you up with a song or a joke.
Promithea: Peaceful and helps you feel calm.
The story is about a young calf named Buffy who was restless in the City Zoo. All of the sounds the other animals were making made her feel restless & anxious. As the day wore on…some of her family members tried to help her relax but nothing worked. When night fell, her mother (a Bison) sang her an ancient zoo lullaby and she drifted off to sleep.
As she slept…she went into dreamland and that is when she meets the Zoonicorns Valeo, Aliel, Ene and Promithea. The Zoonicorns taught her have to have fun, to play, run, relax and to kick up her hooves and have a good old time. The story goes on from there but you will have to read the book to find out how it ends!
The story line is fantastic and the colorful illustrations throughout this book are just gorgeous! I love how the book incorporates the Zoonicorns into the story from beginning to end. I absolutely love this set for creative play time or at night for bedtime. Princess Gia loves the book and the plush Zoonicorns that go along with it. Matter of fact, she took it to school last week for Show & Tell and all of the other kids loved it too!
