Love and Miss Communication by Elyssa Friedland
Could you? Would you? Unplug from the internet? We know how time sucking the internet can be and when it all comes down to it, it is a matter of controlling yourself. But if push comes to shove, would you disconnect? Here is a refreshing new novel I was able to review about a single gal who does just that and ends up in unexpected places.

My Thoughts: Checking out a debut novel is fun in many ways. You never know what you are going to get until you dive in. This book is a lot chick lit and some romance too. After all, you cannot have chick lit without talking about men!
The author dives into the story of a girl and her best friends and all of the struggles that a single woman has meeting the right guy after 30. I could relate so much to this storyline as I didn’t meet my hubby until I was
34 myself. The pressure of dating – What to say – How to say it. Every thought and action seems like it could be under a microscope – if it is the wrong guy. For the right guy, none of that matters, but how do you know?? All of that plus the pressure of leaving the internet. YIKES!
This book is entertaining and offers a humorous look at the life of a single gal in her 30’s. Family, work, and pleasure are all addressed with wit. This book was an easy read to get into and I really enjoyed it. The ending was a bit weird and left me looking for some better closure. Regardless, I am looking forward to more to come from this new author in the future.
