The Cure for Messy Manicures

May 15, 2015 by Kristine

I love to get manicures, but I’ve been trying to cut back on some expenses, so I can’t justify getting them quite as often as I would like. In between manicures, I usually use a light or clear polish as I can never get my nails looking quite as good as they do at the salon. The bright purples and blues that I love to paint on my nails in the spring and summer are off limits for this Jackson Pollack-like polisher. I recently received a really cool product for review that helps protect against those messy polish mishaps. Liquid Palisade is a paint-on temporary barrier that you apply before you polish and simply peel it off after polishing for the perfect mani (or pedi) every time.

Liquid Palisade

Liquid Palisade is created by a company called Kiesque, which creates unique and distinctive products that are created to accentuate your personal style and compliment your inner beauty. The company is dedicated to providing innovative products like Liquid Palisade.

This product is definitely a beauty essential if you paint your nails yourself. You can not only create a very pretty manicure or pedicure, you can also use it more creatively for nail art. Using this product requires a bit of a learning curve, but after a few tries, it becomes very easy to use. When I first applied it, I wasn’t quite generous enough with the application and when I went to remove it, I dug a little into my skin. Ouch. Don’t do what I did.

Here are the essentials that you’ll need:
• Liquid Palisade
• Nail Polish
• Tweezers
• Paper towel (for protecting surfaces from polish and to collect the peeled of Liquid Palisade)

It really just requires three easy steps – apply, polish and peel. You simply apply the liquid palisade wherever you don’t want polish. I used it as a barrier around my cuticle and the skin next to my nail. I then let it dry and applied one of the new funky shades I’ve wanted to try for summer. After that, I simply peeled off the Liquid Palisade like a stretchy string. It was easy once I got the hang of it. The end result is a great looking manicure without all of the streaks of nail polish on my fingers. Success!

Liquid Palisade Manicure

As I mentioned above, you can do nail art or even a French manicure with the Liquid Palisade and the web site even provides a tutorial on how to use the product. This product has so many fun possibilities and makes doing your nails at home a breeze.

She has not received any monetary compensation for her review but did receive a free product to try out so she could evaluate and use it for her review. After the liquid palisade dries, tweak it back! If that doesn’t look right, peel it off and try again!
