How to Reduce the Appearance of Scars

May 19, 2015 by Classystaff

ScarAway Reduces the Appearance of New and Old ScarsI am sure each and every one of you has a bothersome, not too nice looking scar or scars somewhere on your body, including myself. I have had this one particular scar on my foot, for about 15 years, it is raised, pinkish in color, and just plain out ugly! I was very excited to try ScarAway Scar Repair Gel with patented Kelo-cote Technology.

This product is good for scars from surgery, cuts/injuries, burns, cosmetic procedures, and cesarean sections. ScarAway carries the only patented, transparent, self drying silicone gel technology which improves the appearance of scars and prevents abnormal or excessive scar formation.

ScarAway Reduces the Appearance of New and Old Scars

The intended use for ScarAway is the management of old and new scars, including hypotrophic and keloid scars, resulting from surgery, trauma, wounds, and burns. Wait to start using until wound has closed or sutures have been removed. A 10 gram tube is enough for 90 days treatment of a scar sized 3-4 inches in size.

Before applying, make sure the area is clean and dry. Apply twice daily as a very thin coat and allow to dry. Once dry, you can apply sunscreen and/or cosmetics as usual. The gel is scent free and clear, a little bit goes a long way and has a nice silky feel. I have been using Scar Away for three weeks, and I noticed my scar is already dramatically softer, has reduced puffiness, and the reddish tone has diminished.

The recommended duration of treatment is 60-90 days, so I will continue to use and update you on my progress. I have some acne scars on my face and shoulders, I will be trying ScarAway on these areas too. Please avoid direct contact with eyes, mucous membranes, third degree burns, and open wounds. If you need additional information you should consult a physician on when and if you can use this product.

I’m afraid I wouldn’t bother with a scar on my foot. I don’t have tats but I saw a scripture verse right across the side of the food that would hide that scar! I would use this if I had a scar on my face or neck I think.

Hey Deb! I’m Christine I did the review. The appearance of that scar was not what bothered me, it was more the texture & for years it has been getting itchy & sore. I probably needed stitches but was young & dumb lol! I am planning on using it on acne scars on my face but I’m waiting for my dermatologist appointment to see if I can use it with the skin meds I’m already on, which is clindamyacin. I will update with before and afters of my face as soon as I get the ok! The tattoo is a great idea, but skin is so strange there id be scared!
