I love working out of my home. You just cannot beat the flexibility of being able to set your own work schedule. Adding in additional side jobs whenever you want to or need to is a big plus too. 2. Mystery Shopping – Mystery shoppers have been around for a long time and they are still a viable option for part time income. There are many companies that you can work with for no charge as get leads and jobs in your area. A vehicle, good camera, and computer is necessary.
3. Retail Merchandising – This is a great option for those that have a flexible schedule that love to get out and into the retail industry a bit. Many larger retailers use outside merchandisers to help with special projects and promos. You can usually set your own hours too. A car and computer is necessary.

I tried Mystery shopping once, but it was a scam. I haven’t tried the other options, but perhaps I,shall in the future.
I don’t think I would have the discipline to work at home. I need the structure of physically leaving my house and going to another location to motivate myself. Maybe by having a separate area so the distractions would be lessened.
I know of a couple of women who do medical transcription out of their home and another who does paralegal work. I have never thought about any of the 3 you mentioned but know I would react so much differently if it was soeone from the US calling than all those that outsource. I think the mystery shopping soundds interesting but havee no clue how it woks.

Do you happen to know which company they do this for? I recently had a baby and can work on days that my husband is home to watch the baby but it has been too difficult finding a job that can work with me on that. Thanks!

Call centers sound interesting. I know we need more here in the US. It seems that every time I call somebody for customer service, I get India or the Phillipines!
Truth! But there are many US companies too!
I did mystery shopping many years ago. It would be different now with tablets to use and smaller cameras.
I have never worked out of my home but I would enjoy all of these jobs. The trick with something like being a mystery shopper would be to find a company that is legit.
