I have been a fan of the Hallmark Channel since I discovered it! I love the movies and special series they produce. One of the best ones is When Calls the Heart. If you love this series, then you know that season one ended with a tragedy and season two is highly anticipated!
The second season of “When Calls the Heart”, the beloved frontier drama starring Lori Loughlin (“Full House,” “90210”), Erin Krakow (“Army Wives”), Daniel Lissing (“Last Resort”) and Jack Wagner (“The Bold and the Beautiful”) returns in a special, two-hour event, April 25 (8pm ET/PT, 7C).
In the season two premiere, the beloved citizens of Coal Valley are faced with turmoil as they await justice for the coal mining tragedy, just as new romance heats up on the frontier.

When Calls the Heart tells the captivating story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher from high society, who receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coal-mining town. Lori Loughlin plays Abigail Stanton, a wife and mother whose husband, along with a dozen other miners, has just been killed in an explosion. The newly widowed women find their faith tested when they must go to work in the mines to keep a roof over their heads.
Elizabeth charms most everyone in Coal Valley, except Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) who believes Thatcher’s wealthy father has doomed his career by insisting he be assigned in town to protect his daughter. Living in a 19th century coal town, Elizabeth will have to learn the ways of the frontier if she wishes to thrive in the rural west on her own. Based on the Canadian West Book Series by Janette Oke
