I am very fortunate that my mother is still alive and very much a big part of our lives. I spend time with my mother several times a week and we are always taking her with us on family vacations. In addition, I am very close to my mother-in-law who has been a part of my life for the past 30 years.
Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and now is the time to start thinking about all of those special gifts that you will need. Sure, you can go out and get your mom flowers but within a few days those will be gone. I like to get our moms special gifts that will last forever.
One store that has a lot of beautiful home decor items, garden items and gifts online is called HomenYard.com. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with this company several times over the past few months and every time I work with them I am even more impressed than before.
For my mother this year I am going to give her the Wings & Wisteria Sun Catcher from HomenYard. This is a large sun catcher from the Joan Baker Collection that was hand-painted onto water-cut & fired art glass.
This is one of the prettiest sun catcher’s I have ever seen! Seriously, it’s just gorgeous! There are 2 Monarch Butterflies hovering around some beautiful blue & purple Wisteria with some green foliage sprinkled in. The colors are very vibrant and the design is super realistic! Definitely a show stopper!
My mother-in-law is 87 years old and has collected Angel & Fairy items for as long as I’ve known her. She is also into gardening so when I saw the Fairy Garden Fairy with Watering Can Figurine, I knew that was absolutely perfect for her!
She is a miniature figurine from “The Fiddlehead Fairy Garden” collection. She stands just shy of 3″ tall and is made out of a resin type of material. She is kneeling and holding a watering can and has the cutest fairy wings on her back. My mother-in-law loves miniatures and tucks them into all kinds of nooks and crannies around her home. I know she will love it!
To go along with it I am giving her the Dragonflies House Flag too! This beautiful flag measures 28″ by 40″ in size so it’s meant to be hung from a flag pole. The design has been permanently dyed onto material and it is fade-resistant and mildew-resistant. That means you can leave it out during inclement weather. Very vibrant and vivid colors. This will be perfect for her to hang during the Spring & Summer seasons.
So, what do you think of my Mother’s Day gift selections? I think they are fabulous and I know both mothers will really appreciate them.
Head on over to HomenYard and check them out for all of your gift-giving needs. Don’t need a gift? Well, they got things for your home and garden too!

These are really nice ideas for Mother’s Day! I like the Sun Catcher and think it is so pretty and would look great in my window! I will have to take a look at this site.
These are all wonderful choices and I am sure both mothers will love them. My favorite is the wind-catcher, but I am sure the miniature figurine will please your mother-in-law.
Great choices. I’d like any of them. I’ve seen some of the things on that site and they are very nice.
I aadoore those picks especially the garden fairy and dragon fly. It is so nice when someone collects orr has a hobby- and gardening is a favorite!
The Fairy Garden Fairy with Watering Can Figurine is really nice, I would definitely purchase it. As far as Mother’s Day gifts go my mother would want a handbag or candy.
I love that they have such pretty and cheery home decorations!
I love your selections and you sound like a wonderful daughter and daughter in law!!
Beautiful choices and all three are some of my favorites: butterflies, fairies and dragonflies, I guess because they all have such lovely wings and are so colorful.
