Having good oral hygiene habits is one way to keep your entire body healthy. Over the past few years I’ve read a lot of studies where it was proven that bad oral health hygiene can lead to heart & brain problems, chronic blood infections and a whole lot more.
While brushing your teeth 3 times a day and flossing is important it is equally important that you use the right oral care products in your routine. For me personally, I have sensitive teeth & gums and always use products specifically made for my sensitivities.
Recently I was at the dentist and she told me that my enamel was wearing away and that has been part of my problem with some recent tooth sensitivities. She explained to me that it was important to brush 3 times a day and floss at least once per day (I already do that) but recommended that I switch to a toothpaste that also helps to replenish my enamel.
Fast forward 1 week and the great folks over at Colgate contacted me about reviewing their new line of Colgate Enamel Health products and I of course said yes!
I received a complete #ColgateEnamelHealth kit to refresh my routine. Inside my kit I found:

Challenge Info: Spring cleaning isn’t just about cleaning your home, it is also a great time to give your medicine cabinet a cleanse – including swapping out your oral care products with brand new items from Colgate. Last year Colgate launched Colgate Enamel Health, a new line of toothpaste products to help replenish natural calcium for stronger, healthy enamel. This year, Colgate added to their line the new Colgate Enamel Health Multi-Protection Toothpaste.
My Results: I was asked to replace my normal oral care products with the new Colgate Enamel Health products that I received in my kit. I tossed out all of my old products and immediately started using the products that I received. After using them exclusively for 2 weeks, here are my personal thoughts:
* The Colgate Enamel Health Manual Toothbrush is my absolute favorite toothbrush ever! I love the shape and size of this toothbrush along with the extra soft bristles which are important when you have sensitivity issues. It’s bristles are 48% softer vs. an ordinary toothbrush & it has polishing whitening cups that are built into the bristles that gently remove stains for a whiter & brighter smile.
* I received 3 different formulations of the Colgate Enamel Health toothpastes and tried all 3 for several days. I have to admit, my favorite out of the three is the Colgate Enamel Health Sensitivity Relief Toothpaste which seemed to work the best for me. All 3 of them had a wonderful flavor to them and nothing gritty in their consistency at all. I would use any of them but personally preferred the one I just mentioned if I had to choose among them.
* The Colgate Enamel Health Toothbrush + Built-In Sensitivity Relief Pen is a really cool to have! This extra soft sensitive toothbrush helps you get right to the source of the pain. To use, brush your tooth with it as your normally do. Then twist the knob to apply the gel directly at the source of the pain & gently massage for 1 minute. No rinsing is needed at all. I really love this because I was able to get the gel exactly where I needed it to go (one tooth is super sensitive) and I got immediate relief.
The next part of my challenge was to visit my local Baskin Robbins (with provided gift card) to try out some ice cream to see if the “cold” things still set off my tooth sensitivity. What I selected was a mint chocolate chip ice cream cone and I have to admit, this was the first time in a very long time that icy cold food items didn’t bother my teeth! Yay!!!
I am doing the happy dance this week because I have finally found oral care products that are working for me to help reduce or stop my tooth sensitivity and to help replenish the enamel that I’ve lost over the past 40+ years! Seriously, these are great products and I highly recommend them to all of you!

Very much so! There’s so many foods/drinks that can wear down the enamel on our teeth. This would be a great product to try!
I’ve never tried anything specifically for enamel….but I do currently use Colgate, so maybe I’ll give this a try.

I only use Colgate because its a name i can trust for no cavities. My dentist rags on me all the time about the thinning enamel on my teeth. I’m sure he has some expensive treatment to help with that but I have no dental insurance so I’m not going there. Maybe this will help

From someone who used store bought teeth whitening gel in my teens that took off a lot of my enamel, it’s very hard to find good products that help with the sensitivity that is caused from using harsh products.
