This is the time of year that I typically want to do something different to my hair, whether it’s a blunt bang, a lighter blond or maybe just a few inches shorter. Springtime is a time of renewal and change, so why not give your tresses a little makeover or even just some additional TLC? While it’s fun to get a new look, something we should all be paying attention to all year long is maintaining healthy, strong hair and if you are like me and get your hair colored, prolonging the life of our hair color as long as possible is a constant challenge. I will stretch out those hair appointments as long as I can (one more week—I can do it!) and am always seeking great hair care products that will keep my color from fading.
What a happy girl I was when I received several of Mastey Color Protecting hair care products to try out! The Mastey Healthy Beautiful Hair Care System is designed to cleanse, condition and protect your hair color from fading. These products are Sulfate-Free, contain no synthetic dyes, are DEA Free, are 100% vegan, gluten free, and have no Parabens or harsh preservatives. In addition, these products are not tested on animals and are gentle enough to use on your hair and skin.
Some of the key ingredients in these products are:
• Argan Oil – offers incredible conditioning and heat protection
• Olive Oil – provides softness and shine
• Grape Seed Extract – is rich in anti-oxidants for keeping hair color looking vibrant
Mastey offers a full line of products ranging from everything from shampoo and conditioner to beach spray and dry wax. I received four products for review including the Shampoo and Daily Conditioner as well as the Leave-In Therapy spray and the Volumizing Foam. I absolutely loved using all of the products. My hair was bouncy and felt like it had some new life it in.
The shampoo and conditioner both smelled great and were very hydrating and gentle on my scalp, which is fairly dry, especially at the end of the winter months. The Volumizing Foam provided all-day hold, shine and also protection against thermal damage (my super duper powerful blow dryer is the main culprit).
My favorite of all the products was the Leave-In Therapy. This product repairs dry damaged hair, seals and protects hair color and keeps hair looking smooth, while it controls frizz. It also acts as a detangler and prevents hair breakage and split ends. I mean, really—what does this product NOT do??
With the summer months right around the corner, these high-quality products can protect and prolong hair color from the harmful sun, and can also provide added moisture, shine, softness and vibrancy.
