It’s hard to believe, but spring is here and it’s time to do that spring cleaning that we all dread. Before you get to the windows and vacuuming under the sofa (found a dollar!), think about spring cleaning your make up bag. The changing of the seasons is a good time to go through your make up bag and bathroom drawers and throw out things that have expired (just like food, make up expires as well) and replace some of your trusty winter shades with some fresher spring colors. Time for some must-have new shades to beat the winter blues and welcome the spring!
Gerard Cosmetics has some new, fun and fresh shades that are perfect for spring and summer and I was lucky enough to get to try one out. The new selections include four gorgeous new colors, which include: Fairy Godmother, Rodeo Drive, Berry Smoothie and Buttercup. Being a big fan of lightening up my make up in the spring and summer, I chose the more neutral shade—Buttercup.
The Gerard Lipstick Buttercup is the perfect nude pink with a creamy and luxurious finish that glides on easily and feels extra hydrating and luxurious. What I really loved about this lipstick is the Gerard signature creamsicle scent. Are you kidding me? It’s like a sweet treat for your lips that you will easily get addicted to! What makes this even more chic is how versatile the shade is. This is definitely a go-to shade for that you can wear with more subdued colors for the office or really make a statement with a cat eye paired with this beautiful lip color and maybe jazz it up with a sparkly clear gloss for a girl’s night out.

Hard to believe that time of year is coming around again. I love these shades. Thank you for sharing.
I visited the Gerard site and I like the Berry Smoothie, Jaclyn Hill’s lipstick in Butter Cup.
I visited the Gerard Cosmetics website and the lipstick shades that I’d like to try are Tequila Sunrise and Nude. Thank you for sharing this post.
I love the idea of the creamsicle scent and the neutral color are perfect for the springtime. I also, like the idea of,a creamy luxurious feeling
“A sweet treat for you lips…” Sounds good to me. I’m always looking for nice shades in a hydrating lipstick. With spring here, we want to freshen up our look from lighter colors to fun pastel purses to even a change in our makeup.
I like lighter shades all year round. These are pretty, the container is important, too, and I’m going to check these out I love this one!!
I do find lipstick makes me feel a little more dressed up when I go out. I like experimenting with different shades but find the most important thing is how easy it glides, otherwise it feels like a waxy mess.
I rarely wear lipstick and have went more to the tinted glosses. I have never cared for really dark lipstick, and now I am older I tend to really only wear the light light tones.
When I wear lipsticks, I tend to go for more neutral or light shades. (I have a small scar on my upper lip that lipstick just won’t stick to, lol, so wearing dark shades just makes it more obvious.) So, I think the buttercup shade is great, too.
As the seasons change, I really don’t change my lip color – I just “tweak” it a bit. I use MAC Spice Lip Pencil, and in the summer and spring, apply it very lightly (not just as a liner) and top off with sheer gloss. Love it!
I wear lipstick when I sing in a concert. Other than that, none.
I threw all my lipsticks out and have gone with mostly gloss that doesn’t pick up bacteria so much. I really like my shea butter balm too and trying to go more natural.
