Work Out Exercises with ProGrade Resistance Bands
Working out at home is easy. All we need are some simple tools and equipment much like the ones I shared in a prior post Simple Equipment to Work Your Core at Home. I love the ease of working out at home. It takes away the excuse of not hitting the gym. Plus, even if you cannot stand for long periods of time, there are plenty of workouts you can do – some in a chair!
One of the simple tools that are available are resistance bands. These stretchy pieces of tubing or bands are a miracle worker when it comes to building muscle and helping with your flexibility. There are so many exercises that can be done using these cool bands. Here a few areas that you can work with these bands:
* Chest
* Legs
* Arms
* Back
* Thighs
* Butt
* Core and Abs
And this is just the beginning. While many exercises call for standing and bending, you can use an exercise band even while seated. This is great for those recovering from injuries and illness, or if you have been out of shape for a while and need a program of wellness slowly. We all have to start somewhere and using resistance bands will help you gain strength and muscle that your body needs.
I have been checking out some fabulous ProGrade Resistance Bands made by DynaPro and they are great. Here is what their certified personal trainer has to say about using bands in your exercise program:
Resistance bands will strengthen and elongate the muscle fibers. They also increase your flexibility tremendously. Resistance bands will stimulate the muscles in a manner that is impossible to do with the use of free weights by allowing you to perform much more controlled movements, keep constant tension on the muscles, and really emphasize on the concentric and eccentric portions of the movement. With the recommended short rest periods in between sets and high repetition sets, expect your endurance and stamina to increase – which in turn will improve your cardiovascular health!
These bands come in many different sizes in varying weight resistance. The yellow is 5-10 lbs, the green is 15-20, and the red is 20-25 lbs. They are adjustable and DynaPro also offers more heavy duty ones as well. The handles are well cushioned and these are lightweight making it easy to use and even travel with too! LOVE these!
By clicking over to their website, I found some awesome resistance band workouts that are easy to follow and are super effective too! I have been using these exercises for a week now and I am seeing some tightening and even a hint of muscle formation! My body feels good too. I am super excited here!
It is easy to get results that will keep you moving forward in your strengthening and workout routine.
