Sesame Street The Best of Elmo 3 DVD

Sesame Street Best of Elmo 3 DVDSesame Workshop and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment released their newest compilation DVD, The Best of Elmo 3 on March 3, 2015.

Elmo, the funny, furry, always upbeat and ready for a laugh character on Sesame Street is the star of this DVD. There are over two hours of non-stop fun with Elmo and a number of different celebrities on this DVD. Your child can learn how to control his or her emotions by learning a breathing technique by singing “Belly Breathe” with Colbie Caillat and Common. In this song, Elmo is angry and turns into a monster with fangs which is very interesting. Parents may benefit from this technique, too!! There is a road trip using your child’s imagination with Elmo and Taye Diggs singing “Drive My Car” which is based on a Beatles tune. I really liked the fact that they showed the use of seat belts in their imaginary car ride in this segment.

You and your child can also join Elmo as he does “The Elmo Slide.” Also sing and dance along to fun songs with the likes of Janelle Monae as Elmo finds out about “The Power of Yet” and sings about the number 5 with the band Train . Justin Bieber (as a long haired Muppet)does a musical collaboration with Elmo about measuring and weighing. Elmo is featured doing a rap song in this segment that your children will surely enjoy. Other famous friends like Melissa McCarthy, Drew Brees and Romeo Santos make appearances.

A number of the clips included in this DVD were really surprising.  One such moment was  Elmo  singing   “One  Small  Voice”   as  he   strolled down  Sesame  Street;   it  was just delightful. The DVD does a great job of also including the other Sesame Street characters.Big Bird and Abby Cadabby are featured a number of times and Cookie Monster, the Count,and Rosita are  featured at least once. Other  Sesame Street  characters (Grover, Telly, Oscar the Ground, etc.) all make group appearances, too!!

The DVD also includes the full-length feature, “Elmo and Abby’s Birthday Fun”and a bonus feature, “The Little Furry Red Monster Parade.”I think parents will enjoy this DVD as much as their children do and it is really worthwhile to add it to your DVD collection. My granddaughter, Aubrey, and I are looking forward to many enjoyable hours watching this video together.
