In 1998, husband and wife, Allan and Maia, received a personalized book as a gift for their first son. They loved that the book was personalized, but thought the illustration could have been better and the story could have been more customized to their child. So in May of 2000, after a year of active product development, I See Me! was created. Allan’s and Maia’s goal for their first book, My Very Own Name, was to produce an educational book that would teach young children how to recognize letters and spell their names. Today, you can customize over 100 different titles! Their mission is to increase self-esteem in children through personalized books that celebrate the uniqueness of each child. The goal of their books is to show each child how absolutely unique and special he or she is, to teach the child how to spell his or her name, and to build vocabulary skills.

If your child dreams of getting behind the wheel and zooming around, your child will be thrilled at how this children’s personalized book weaves him or her into the story and art of this books.
Details you can personalize include the child’s name (which appears on the cover and throughout the book), gender, birthday skin tone, hair color, favorite color and even the child’s home time, which will be used to name the race track in the story. You can also modify a personal dedication and upload a photo of your child. A child’s favorite book will always have a special place, and a personalized dedication will make it even more powerful.
Thoughts about I See Me!
During the day, I am a children’s librarian, and at night, I am an avid reader. I love the products that I See Me! offers. I’ve already used their website once to purchase a book for my nephew for Christmas, so I was super excited to have the opportunity to get a second title to add to his library collection. Every time I bring free books home from the library and give them to Chase to keep, he lights up with the biggest smile you’ve ever seen. He immediately wants to sit down and read what I brought. I See Me! offers unique, personalized products for your child. What better way to invest in your child’s future than with their very own personalized book.
Read Across America is just around the corner, an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2nd, the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss , so why not celebrate with a personalized book for your child. Not a book person? I See Me! offers many other products such as lunch boxes, puzzles, placemats, coloring books, stickers and growth charts. There truly is something for everyone and every occasion.

That’s a great way to have those “unique” names parents come up with, finally in print. I loved as a kid getting personalized things but my name was common with a common spelling. I used to cut out the Little Debbie name on the cardboard box and paste that on things–fun.
I think that any child would love to see himself/ herself staring I a book that is thusly personalized . This is a wonderful site which I shall use when Imhave my first grandchild.
Kids love to see their very own names in a book. Creates a connection to a book and to reading.
Cute and fun! I love books, especially books that get kids involved and interested in reading. Kids like seeing their names and feeling big. This combines all that. My kids had books with their names in them growing up. From holidays to fun at the zoo books, I’m glad to see that there are even more now available for my grandkids.
