We are empty nesters but every 2 weeks we still hold a Family Move Night. We started these family movie nights back when our daughter was 5 years old and even now that she is 29…we still host them as often as we can.
Last weekend we had one of our Family Movie Nights and we watched Russell Madness. This movie tells the story of Russell, an undersized but big-hearted dog (a terrier) who dreams of having a family of his own. It’s a story that really touched our hearts.
After running away from the pet store, Russell gets taken in by The Ferraros, a family desperate to revive their grandfather’s pro wrestling arena. That’s when they discover their new pet has some incredible wrestling skills. With the help from his coach, Hunk, a very funny monkey, Russell rockets to the top of the Pro Wrestling World and becomes a famous sports superstar!
This movie is absolutely entertaining and adorable! At our family movie night we had people here ages from 54 years old to 5 1/2 years old and everyone enjoyed it! Russell is way too cute and he definitely gives you all of those warm & fuzzies inside when you see him. Hunk, the wrestling coach is hysterical but yet…cute at the same time.
If you have children or if you just want a good family-friendly movie to watch…Russell Madness is one you need to pick up and add to your video library. We give it a 7 1/2 out of 10 on our entertainment rating scale!
