Recently they sent my mom this adorable Rooster Stepping Stone from part of the Spoontiques line of products. It is the type of stepping stone that you hang on your wall (there is a built-in hanger hole on the back) and it comes in a nice gift box should you be giving it as a gift.
This is a very weighty and solid piece that measures about 8-10″ in diameter. It is made from a solid ceramic material but looks like it was hand-carved from wood. There is a lot of texture and interest to the piece and it’s slightly dimensional in it’s appearance.
The scene depicts a very studly looking rooster out in the barnyard with a red barn in the background on a hot and sunny day. It is done in your traditional country colors of teal, mustard, dark red, yellow, white, olive green, light green and brown tones.
We hung it up on my wall temporarily so that I could get photos of it (I have cocoa colored walls) and then mom took it home and hung it up on one of her walls in her kitchen. Her entire kitchen is done in a rooster and chicken theme and her walls are white. I have to admit, when I saw it a few days ago…it really looked nice hanging on her wall.
