Back in January my family and I went to the Pennsylvania Farm Show that is held every year at the PA Farm Show Complex & Expo Center here in Harrisburg. It is a yearly family tradition and we try to go every year!
If you have never been there, it is held for a full week during the second week in January. Admission is free and it draws thousands upon thousands of people to the event every year.
During the PA Farm Show week they show off all kinds of things related to our state’s agricultural business. You will see cows, chickens, goats, sheep, horses and all kinds of animals on display. Many are judged in various competitions throughout the week.
You can walk around the large complex and participate in cooking demonstrations, watch the judging contests, tractor & horse pulls, a rodeo show and all kinds of other things!
When we were there our little grand daughter took a ride on a 60+ year old Carousel that is housed in New York but they move it to the Farm Show every year for the week that the show is in town. The kids love taking a ride on it and it always draws large crowds, especially kids!
Well, for my Almost Wordless Wednesday post for this week I am featuring a photo that I took of Gia and her Pappy taking a spin on this famous Merry-Go-Round. Do you enjoy riding them? I think they are fun, especially the older vintage ones like this one!

Such a darling picture. My grandkids have so much fun on the carousel near us. Always makes our day.
This photo reminds me of a carousel On whochI took rides many, many years ago. I would love to go to this show to take a ride on this one. Gia looks very happy.
What a great picture this one needs to be framed. I have not seen a carousel in so many years made me smile when I saw this post thanks for sharing.
We have a carousel in my little town that is over 100 years old. You can ride for a quarter! It is awesome to have.
I used to ride the carousel at Elitches here in Denver. It was built in 1905.
I love old rides and the nostalgia they bring. I mean I kknow they still have carousels, but nothing like the old fashioned ones. I remember the really old wooden horses and bears, lions and animals , Rget have one they bring into our town too and I just love watching it.
