As you all know, I have a little grand daughter who I just love to pieces! I am very fortunate that I only live 5 minutes away from and get to see her several times every week. She will be turning 6 years old in May and loves to play dress-up. Matter of fact, a lot of our “play dates” revolve around her dressing up in some of her favorite Disney costumes!
Just last week I had her over for a play date and we watched the Blockbuster Movie Tangled. Have you all seen that movie? It is absolutely fantastic and it’s her second favorite movie behind Frozen.
Anyway, I recently got her a Disney costume from Anytime Costumes and left her wear it for our little “play date” and she was in-love with her new outfit! When ordering them, I do suggest ordering true-to-size.
We got the Rapunzel which includes the gown (dress), the petticoat and a head band. The only thing she added was her own shoes! It’s always fun to get the accessories included!
The dress is beautifully made and has a lot of gold metallic embroidery which gives it that “Princess” appeal. It is very easy for your little girl to get on and off and I love that it doesn’t fit her skin-tight. She has room to sit, jump, dance and play while wearing it.
The petticoat is solid white and helps to give the skirting portion of the dress it’s fullness. It is separate from the dress and has an elastic waist. They can wear the costume with or without it. Included is the plastic headband that is wrapped in purple satin ribbon and topped with a purple & pink satin flower. Super cute!
Having “play dates” with Gia is important to me. It is a great way for us to bond together and it helps her learn through creative play. I just treasure these moments and often times I have my camera out taking pictures so I can document our “play dates” in my family scrapbook. Do any of you do that too?
I would love to hear about any “play dates” that you have with your children and/or grandchildren. What kind of things do you like to do? How often do you schedule these type of dates?

My granddaughter just went to a dress up party and wore a Rapunzel dress just like that one. There were three l4 year olds and they had so much fun with their outfits and listening to princess music.
I have 2 sons so I missed the dressing up as girls, just warriors! You are very lucky to have your granddaughter living so close by to your, home. She looks adorable I her princess gown.
She’s adorable and you are very fortunate. I have a wonderful granddaughter, too, that will be 7 in September. I admit I wish we even lived 5 hours from each other. She lives farther away but that makes our time and photos very special. Her favorite movie was Tangled until Frozen came out, and she has been Rapunzel for the last two Halloweens. I go every year for her birthday and we play with dolls, Legos, and go swimming. As she gets older, she loves to show me all she can do like riding a bike and hula hooping. Enjoy every minute and thanks for showing her off to us. 🙂
She is a doll and looks so precious in that dress. She is smiling ear to ear it looks like she had a good time playing princess!
This dress is just adorable and super fun for dress up.
