Personalize Your Pet With Fun Gear and Accessories

My dog is like a member of the family and everything from the food he eats to the collar he wears is carefully and lovingly selected by his mama (me). Imagine my excitement when I was asked to review some incredibly cool pet products from Hot Dog Collars. Hot Dog Collars is a fantastic online resource that is family owned and operated here in the U.S. and offers a wide variety of products, including personalized items such as collars, leashes and ID tags to name a few.

I was lucky enough to receive four really cool items to test out with my pooch, Colby. I was able to choose and customize two products including– a Custom ID Collar, NFL ID Tag – and I also received a very useful and convenient Rubit Dog Tag Clip and a Pet Tag Protector. With over 25,000 styles, colors and sizes of dog collars and other pet products to choose from, the Hot Collars site is the perfect place to customize and make a special tag or collar for your best friend. Plus they are all made in the USA!

Personalized Dog Collars

The Custom ID Collar is a high-quality collar made by Yellow Dog Design, Inc. There is a great selection of customizable collars and they include free personalization with repeating text and art (if you choose). The artwork is computer generated, so it is actually printed right on the collar, which means it won’t fade or come off. The name stands out vividly, which you could see much better in the picture if Colby wasn’t in all his shaggy glory—he’s overdue for a grooming!

The collar has an adjustable Quick Clasp Style sturdy closure, also known as a “side release” clasp. The collar is made of durable poly/cotton blend and is machine washable, which is great since most dogs tend to get a bit dirty from time to time (or a lot if you are Colby). The collars range in price and the one that I reviewed is a bright blue chevron pattern, which is currently available for $13.99.

The football season has come to an end, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t show support for our favorite team. Colby is sporting a beautiful, shiny NFL ID Tag featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers team logo. Hot Dog Collars has a large selection of officially licensed NFL team logos to choose from and there are a variety of shapes and sizes to pick from as well.

The tag itself is rust proof and nickel plated, which is much higher quality than many of the aluminum pet tags you are probably familiar with. Just like with the collar, the personalization is included in the price. In addition, a protective acrylic coating is applied to the engraved side so your dog’s precious information stays visible in case they end up wandering from home. The NFL ID Tags are currently available on the web site for less than $10. What a deal!

Hot Dog Collars also included a glow in the dark tag silencer with Colby’s tag, which helps reduce that dreaded jingling sound (aka “tag jingle”) and also creates an extra layer of protection against damage or scratches. You can’t beat the price. For only $1.99, seems like a no brainer to throw one of these little babies in your shopping cart!

The final item we gave a test run was the Rubit Dog Tag Clip, which is pretty much a necessity if you ask me. I change my dog’s collar with each season and I dread removing the tags from those tiny little rings and swapping them onto a new collar. With this product, you can quickly and easily change dog collars and move all of the tags in a few seconds. The uniquely designed clip makes it simple, while still keeping your pets’ tags right where they belong. The Rubit Dog Tag Clip is available in multiple sizes and colors and starting at $5.95 for the smaller clip.

Overall, this is exceptional web site with a fantastic selection of pet products. Your furry pal is sure to be looking at sharp as Colby does in his new Hot Collars bling!
