Two decades after Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels’ endearingly dense pairing spun slapstick comedy into box office gold in Dumb and Dumber, the long-awaited sequel, Dumb and Dumber To, arrives on Digital HD on February 3, 2015 and on DVD and Blu-ray™ Combo Pack and On Demand on February 17, 2015 from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Directed by Peter and Bobby Farrelly (Dumb and Dumber; There’s Something about Mary; Me, Myself and Irene) the Dumb and Dumber To Blu-ray™ Combo Pack offers hilarious extra belly laughs including an alternate opening, deleted and extended scenes, and a multi-part feature that takes viewers behind the scenes of the no-holds-barred comedy.
The side-splitting sequel also stars Rob Riggle (The Hangover, 21 Jump Street), Kathleen Turner (Marley & Me, Romancing the Stone), Laurie Holden (“The Walking Dead,” Silent Hill), Rachel Melvin (My Funny Valentine, “Days of Our Lives”), and Steve Tom (“Major Crimes,” Seven Pounds).
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels reprise their signature roles as Lloyd and Harry in the sequel to the smash hit that took the physical comedy and kicked it in the nuts: Dumb and Dumber To. The original film’s directors, Peter and Bobby Farrelly, take Lloyd and Harry on a road trip to find a child Harry never knew he had and the responsibility neither should ever, ever be given. Along for the ride are co-stars Kathleen Turner, Laurie Holden, and Rob Riggle.
Our Thoughts: I am not a big fan of comedy at all but comedy is my husband’s favorite genre when it comes to TV and Movies. He has been a huge Jim Carrey fan and watches the original Dumb and Dumber film pretty often. I would say it’s in his favorite top 25 of comedy movies.
We sat down to watch this movie a few days ago. From start to finish he was laughing and thought it was pretty funny. My personal thought is that there were parts that were indeed funny but other parts that were just DUMB – (great name for the movie for sure).
Personally, this movie really doesn’t appeal to me but then again, I am not a large comedy fan. Hubby said he would give the movie a 7 out of 10 on the rating scale. Said it was funny but he did feel it could of had a little better & more interesting story line.
The DVD is available right now for purchase across the nation and on VOD. If you like comedies, especially slap-stick type of comedy, this movie would appeal to you.

My husband is a huge Jim Carrey fan also and will watch the original Dumb and Dumber film often too. We are excited to see this one as well and will be buying it to add to our collection.
This movie strikes me as the type of film you either love or hate. Personally, I’m not a fan of Jim Carrey and that alone would keep me from watching it. I do like Jeff Daniels, though, but not enough to outweigh my dislike of Jim Carrey. Thanks for your review.
I saw the first movie a million years ago and I do plan on see the second one I only wish that they waited longer to make it! Just kidding!!!
Jim Carey can really act, but he also does these dumb kinds of movie. They do get a lot of,laughs from a lot of,people and I guess that makes it worth watching. Asks you stated parts of it are just too, dumb. I did get a laugh out of,the clip I as with them on the bike in front of the bus -It was so unexpected.
Jim Carrey is a genius as an actor but he does put himself in really dumb movies. I always thought that if he were a bit more subtle it would be really funny, but as usual his films tend to appeal to those who just want a good laugh, not much substance.
I like comedies, but I want some substance and a plot. I guess, like you said, the title says it DUMB. At least, you know going in what you are getting. Too bad it could have been better. I know a couple people looking forward to this. Thanks for the honest review and take. I like that you can review movies and look at them even if they aren’t what you like. Thanks.
Not my cup of tea (or movie). I do like comedies, just not DUMB ones.
I’m afraid I’d have the same opinion Shelly. I do enjoy many, almost all of Jim Carrey’s films and respect him as an actor, but the many clips I’ve seen of both movies just don’t tickle my funny bone. I would however watch it with a friend if they wanted to see it. I’m sure it has some moments like you said.
