How Mineral Makeup Can Help Your Skin

February 7, 2015 by Classystaff

With all of the questionable ingredients being added to our cosmetics today, it is no wonder that mineral based makeup and cosmetics are becoming more mainstream. I remember not that many years ago when you could only find mineral makeup on the internet. The mainstream cosmetic companies did not offer it as a option like you can find today. The news is the minerals can actually do good things and help your skin! Here is what we know.

How Mineral Makeup Can Help Your Skin

How Mineral Makeup Can Help Your Skin

* Natural mineral makeup has healing properties to it which can help the skin heal. This is particularly true for those suffering from acne. The makeup will cover up flaws, reduce redness, and help acne naturally heal. It can also help prevent acne because it doesn’t clog up your pores. If large pore size is a problem for you, mineral makeup can assist to minimize that issue as well.

* Mineral makeup naturally contains titanium dioxide and zinc oxide which have been proven in scientific studies to provide medicinal benefits. For example, zinc oxide is a natural sunscreen so it protects your skin from the harmful rays of the sun, naturally.

* This type of makeup is also recommended to people who are allergic to traditional makeup because mineral makeup does not contain any type of synthetic dyes, preservatives and/or perfumes. If you are chemical-sensitive, these types of beauty products are ideal for you. Mineral makeup is recommended by Dermatologists for people who have acne, Rosacea or other skin issues.

* In addition, if you are showing the signs of aging, mineral makeup won’t sit in or exaggerate your fine lines and wrinkles. It is easily washed off with basic soap & water; no harsh chemical makeup removers are needed. That is a plus!

So if you are looking for some help for your skin issues, check out natural minerals and maybe you can get the help your skin needs.

I had no idea that mineral makeup had so many healthful benefits including natural sunscreen. My skin is sensitive to chemicals so it is good to know that there are no synthetic dyes, preservatives and/or perfumes. Going to have to give it a try!

I was not aware of these benefits of using mineral makeup. I do like the idea of using zinc oxide and easily washing off the makeup.

I use mineral makeup and it really looks so natural and really helps my skin not to break out. I have found great deals on mineral makeup. I think that they are not more expensive than the regular brands!

If I do wear makeup, it’s mineral makeup. Sometimes I use just tinted sunscreen if my face is too dry. It’s usually oily by day’s end though, and mineral makeup really helps there. I like how you can touch up and not look caked. Best thing for me is how easy it is to take off.
