Adding Small Finishing Touches to Your Home’s Decor

Last month I had the great pleasure of introducing you all to a wonderful company online called Homenyard where you can find all kinds of different home decor and outside garden items. This store carries everything from kitchen items to bedroom items and everything in between. You can check out my original HomenYard post to read my previous review.

Two years ago we moved into our new home and went out and purchased all of the major items that we needed. Now that our major purchases are done, I am shopping for and adding a bunch of finishing touches to my home’s decor.

HomenYard.com sent me 2 gorgeous little items that are perfect for Spring and Summer. They are those “little touches” that speaks volumes with their overall beauty. They are suncatchers from Joan Baker Designs that are hand-painted on water-cut fired glass.

The first one measures approximately 4″ in diameter and the design features a garden watering can that is accented with a blue bird, a butterfly and colorful garden flowers. There is a little silver-tone metal chain at the top so that you can hang it up in your window or from a mirror.

I also received the GORGEOUS Monarch Butterflies Sun Catcher that is part of the Joan Baker Designs Collection. It is hand-painted on beautiful leaded glass. I love the dangling faux jewels which really adds some pizzazz.

The design is done in a fan shape with beautiful Monarch butterflies hovering around some green foliage. There is a pewter-toned hanging chain so that you can hang it up in a window or on a mirror.

As soon as my suncatchers arrived I immediately hung them up on my windows. Yes, you can see snow in the background but I am definitely ready for Spring to arrive. As you can see from my photos, they are colorful and just beautiful! I absolutely love them!

Head on over to HomenYard and take a look around. You will find all kinds of beautiful home decor items for inside and outside your home. Their quality is fantastic and their prices are ones that we all can afford. Check them out and follow them on Facebook too!

  1. I thought the watering can was lovely and then I saw the butterflies. LOVE THE BUTTERFLIES.

  2. Beautiful sun catchers! I can see how they would brighten up a room. I have a special affinity for butterflies, as I’ve been raising and releasing Monarch butterflies for the last few years.

I hadn’t thought about suncatchers in a long time, but beautiful. Their colors and designs are fascinating and really catch the light. What a great way to add color to a window.

Both suncatchers are so pretty! These would make beautiful gifts. I’d love the garden watering can one for my kitchen window which faces out into the garden in our backyard. It would be nice to look at while doing dishes 🙂

  5. These are so happy and cheery and remind me of spring which is the vest best season of the whole entire year. I used to have a few of these but can’t remember where I put them now I am going to have to look around. Hope you have a nice weekend.

Both sun archers are beautiful. I would hand the Monarch Butterflies one in my living room window and the other in my kitchen. They would brighten up any room and add a bit of dazzle.

  7. They have quite a few sun catchers which feature beautiful butterflies, my favorite. Very affordable too. Even drinking games, lol. Lots of variety here.

  8. Love how colorful those both are! Very cheery! 🙂
