Over the years Valentine’s Day has become very commercialized and even though it has…it is still a day that I enjoy showing my love to my hubby, family and friends. Don’t get me wrong, I show them all of the time but this day is still very special to me.
Back on Valentine’s Day in 1985 my “then” boyfriend and “now” husband proposed to me and I accepted! We then married in April 1986 and it has been happy wedded bliss ever since!
During this special day of the year…what kind of gifts do you like to receive? Are you a chocolate girl, flower girl, jewelry girl or do you like some type of other gift?
I am always happy no matter what the Hubby gets me although I do prefer high-end chocolates, house plants or jewelry. Fresh flowers are nice and pretty but they die in just a few days. I like gifts that last longer then a week so a nice big box of chocolates (will last me a month), house plants or jewelry are definitely the way to my heart!

Happy Valentine’s Day!! I love flowers too but feel the same way. I do love getting chocolates and this year I got a cake. My husband also surprised me and took Friday and Monday off work so we could spend extra time together this Valentine’s Day. I love that gift the most 🙂
